  1. If your looking for audiphile quality and the ability to play loud without costing more than a house try VMPS.
  2. I like Klipsch ok, Polk I don't care for but I haven't heard their newer stuff. I have VMPS, far better than either imo. Their speakers run from $160 each to $6800/pr so there should be something in their that fits your needs.
  3. Yes that possible, I'm going to test that out today. I posted here because I was hoping to get a Klipsch rep to respond, I did post in the Promedia section but no response yet. I'd also like to know if there is a legitmate chance it could be a ground problem at that frequency since those are notoriously hard and expensive to solve.
  4. I have some new ProMedia Ultras and I noticed they were rather harsh in the midrange so I used a software equalizer and found some partiulcarly nasty distortion at 1 and 2 khz. I did not have this problem with my old speakers so I need to figure out if this something I can troubleshoot since I have limited time to RMA them. I'm using the onboard sound on an Asus Nforce2 Deluxe motherboard. The computer and speakers are plugged into a Belkin UPS, the computer into one of the battery sockets the Ultras are not. My old Altecs sounded much better so its either a setup problem or something in the amplifer since all 4 speakers can't be bad.
