  1. I have been reading this thread with some interest. I am quite sure my response to all this will be unpopular! While most if not all the charges levied here against the music business may be at least partially true, if not totally true, none of this negates the fact that downloading copyrighted music is nothing less than stealing. It takes money away from the artists, no matter how SMALL a percentage that may sometimes be. It takes money out of the pockets of the recording engineers and the arrangers and the session musicians. (Few people realize how much of what you hear in a recording has to do with the recording engineers and not the artists). It also removes the motivation for new talent to spend the time practicing and honing their craft. I am sure none of us here would be any less passionate about the companies we work for if they suddenly decided not to pay us for some of the days we work. (in essence stealing from us) Nor are we any less upset and pi**ed about having our car, money, stereo/HT equipment, dog, wife stolen. So although we may have an intense dislike for the music industry, the people who RUN the industry and the quality of the product they serve up, we have no right to STEAL the material.
  2. I saw that Bill ... Does anyone know if Klipsch is having trouble keeping up with demand and shipping these in cherry?? btw ... very nice sub ... I do not have much experience but it seems to be a good compromise for music and HT ... I listen about 50-50
  3. Hey gang, Just recently purchased a pair of RB-75's complimented with an RW-12 sub. I am loving the sound. But I do have a small question. After auditioning these in my home for a couple weeks I decided I would like to have these in the cherry wood. I called my sales person and was told that the RW-12 is NOT available in cherry. Surely that is not the case!! ...
  4. I am new to the board and eager to pariticpate. I am in the process of replacing my old HT system (Ex was granted custody) Formerly had a Pioneer VSX 901 Infinity Kappa 7's Pioneer cd player and a Toshiba DVD. oh .... A Pioneer Elite 53' RPtv. I am still in mourning!! Anyway.... A pioneer VSX 55Txi is on order. I should receive it this week. I am now wondering about speakers. I do not currently have room for floor standing speakers as I am temporarily in an apartment. I have been looking at the Klipsch line and would very musch appreciate a little advice. I have been looking at the RB-35 and RB-75 with an eye to how I can use them in the future. so a few questions: 1. Will the RB-75 and an RW-12 suffice in the future to anchor the front of my system? I honestly did not hear $600 in difference between the 75's and 35's 2. If I go with the RB-75 can they be moved to the back later and replaced with the RF-7? 3. Would there really be a great deal of difference between the RB-75 and the RF-7 with the use of the sub? 5. How does this line of speakers compliment the receiver I have on order? Will they match well? I will add center channel and rears(or fronts?) when I am through with the divorce mess and get moved into a new house. I appreciate any comments or advice on this approach. I really did like the sound of the Klipsch. The high end was clear and transparent ... and although I have read they do not image so well I was happy with the sound stage presentation. I am however dissapointed in losing my Kappa 7's. Nothing I have auditioned has even come close! Thanks for the help gang Chuck
