  1. Is anybody out there familiar with these speakers? I gave them a listen and they seem pretty good. The website says these are newer than the other synergy floorstanding speaker (2003 vs. 1998). I thought about the reference speakers but might be too mucg money for my budget so the Synergy series is looking more like a possibility. Please let me hear your comments on these. Are these worth the extra $$ to go from the SF-2 to SF-3? Thanks
  2. I am looking at these speakers for both HT and music. I am more concerned with the music rather than the HT side. I am looking at these also because of their size. I would like to mount the surrounds on the wall rather than leave speakers around the floor where kids might poke holes in or knock off stands. I guess you have these as your complete system? How does the music sound? If you don't mind me asking, was it worth the $$ paid? Thanks
  3. Does anybody out there have any experience with these speakers. Whats your take on them. Worth the money? Thanks. I am looking for a 5.1 system that won't take up a lot of space.
  4. Well, to be frank with you, I have been looking at all kinds, from floorstanding to micro systems. The boston Acoustics micro system 520 was one that I might be interested. The B&W 601's or 602's. I would like klipsch reference but I am having a hard time finding them. I only have listened to the Synergy at Best Buy. My finacee wants small speakers. I want speakers that will serve HT and Music. I know that of all speakers I listened to, the HT sounded pretty good. The music will be the test for me.
  5. I am new to this whole surround sound situation. I am going to be purchasing some speakers and have a budget of about 2k. Looking to get a 5.1 system. I have been researching systems/speakers for months now and just getting more confused. I have looked at Klipsch, Boston, JBL, Infinity, Polk, B&W, etc. I only have heard the Klipsch (at Best Buy though not the greatest listening conditions), Boston, Infinity and Polk. Some questions arrised on the Klipsch. Why are these speakers so efficient compared to other speakers I have looked into. How does the higher efficiency benifit me? I have heard that todays klipsch speakers are not made with the same quality as they were some years ago. Any suggestions on a system would be great along with recommendations. By ther way, the receiver I have is a HK AVR325. Thanks and any help would be greatly appriciated!
  6. I am just starting building my home theater system and recently purchased a receiver. I ended up with the Harmon Karden AVR 325. My next investment is the speakers. I have some old Fisher Floor Standing 3-way speakers, Vintage 70's, a borrowed Infinity Center and two bookshelf speakers for surrounds. Also, no sub. I have been looking at speakers for a while now and would like some opinions on the Klipsh Quintet set. I would also look to purchase the 12" sub. I also looked at the Boston Acoustic Micro 130x set which includes the 12" sub. Any thoughts on these sets? Looking for information on these speakers or other recommendations. Thanks a lot!
