  1. From what I can tell Zone 2 starts at the 1500. And from what I can tell, here's what the 2500 has over the 1500: ON SCREEN DISPLAY W/GUI 19 DSP SOUND FIELDS VS 17 SUBWOOFER PHASE SELECT CONTINUOUS FAN MODE SCHOTTKY BARRIER DIODE FOR HIGH SOUND QUALITY SEPARATE ZONE 2 STANDBY/ON BUTTON REC OUT/ZONE 2 SELECTOR DIAL 3 COMPONENT INPUTS VS 2 ZONE 2 VIDEO 6 YPAO PRESENTS (SYSTEMS MEMORY) PEQ MANUAL ADJUSTMENT YPAO CONTINUE IF ROOM IS NOISY ILLUMINATED REMOTE BUTTONS Truthfully, the 1500 is slightly out of my price range (unless I purchase from a non-certified vendor, and then the 2500 actually just barely squeaks into my range) and I really would like to start upgrading more of my speakers to klipsch... but I figure, what good are quality speakers if you don't have the receiver to drive them.
  2. Well I've changed my mind a little... I'm now thinking about the rx-v1500 instead of the 2500. I actually though about just replacing my 757 or droping down slightly to a 657 (got a record player though), but there are a couple of features I really like about the 1500, namely the video up conversion and zone 2 speaker config.
  3. My Yamaha RX-V757 has just died (electrical storm) and I need a replacement. This is my third Yamaha and I've been happy with their performance so far and I'm thinking of going with a RX-V2500 but I thought I'd get a few opinions of fellow Klipsch users... I'd just like to see what you all are using and what seems to be the best value for the money. Thanks! Matt
  4. man... that's just not fair! I've been looking to upgrade my RXV-795 and the 2400 would be perfect! If only I could talk my friend in Baton Rouge into doing me a favor...
  5. Well I went with the RW-12 and love the sub! But I'd just like include a quick comment on the dealer locator section of the website. It suggests that: AMPLIFIED AUDIO 593 PIKE HILL RD. MC MINNVILLE, TN 37110 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA PHONE: 931689108 FAX: 931-668-3911 www.tncities.com/busines/amplified is the closest rep to Chattanooga, TN 37411 at a distance of 55 miles. Well I live right beside the interstate and from the moment I merged on I 24 to the moment I pulled into their store parking lot (taking the shortest route from both Yahoo & MapQuest... though I admit that I didn't take the time to check the mileage) I clocked 86 miles. Now I'm willing to live with a 10-15 mile discrepancy but 31 miles is insane! I could have driven down to Atlanta, GA at only 88 miles away and saved another 4.5% in sales tax! So my advice to everyone is don't put any faith in the dealer locator section of the web site... map it out for yourself!
  6. "Some of the quotes for RW-10 are around 360+shipping RW-12 449+shipping" Where are you finding those prices? The best deal I can find on an RW-12 is $499 plus shipping/tax.
  7. well my stuff's getting a little old now but... Yamaha RXV-795, MBQuart 4" Hybrid Dipole Surround Speakers, MBQuart Domain 40 7.5" Bookshelf Speakers & a MBQuart Domain CTR Stage 6.5" Center Channel Speaker. And the components... Philips DVD763SA SACD DVD Player, JVC HR-S5911U SVHS VCR, Digital Cable Box, and a Sony PS-LX250H Fully-Automatic Turntable.
  8. thanks for the tip... I didn't think of that! I just hope this sub mixes well with my current setup!
  9. thanks... The only problem is that the closest one is still an hour away. I was sort of hoping that I could just find an online rep to deliver, but it looks like I'll be going on a road trip next weekend.
  10. I'm looking to replace an MBQuart D1200Si that got fried in a recent electrical storm (12" sub, Frequency Response: 25Hz-200Hz, Sensitivity: n/adB, Power Range: 185Watts, Crossover Frequency: 40Hz - 180Hz var). I was thinking about the RW-12 as a replacement but there don't seem to be any authorized dealers in my area. So... does anyone have any thoughts on using this sub as a replacement... and can anyone suggest a reputable online dealer that sells the RW12 at a decent price?
