  1. Does anyone know if the klpsch SB-1 and SB-3 are sonically matched? I'm thinking of using mine in a surround setup and want matching speakers for all channels.thanks for any advice.
  2. If I hook sb-1's and sb-3's in the same theater setup, will the sound tonality be different? I ask this because these speakers use different high frequency drivers.Klipsch SB-1 is a phenolic compression tweeter and the SB-3 uses a aluminum dome compression tweeter.
  3. What's the difference betwen the RF-35 "K-1122-OB" and the RB-35 "K-1128-OB" woofer? Are they idenical? Can I replace a K-1122 with a K-1128? ____________________________________________________________ I ve emailed Klipsch and asked if the the SB-3 and SF-3 woofers are the same and they said yes. Im sure that the RF-35 and RB-35 woofers are the same. If you really want to know email customer serivce or call them, thats how I found out.
  4. TBrennan, thanks for your help
  5. I wouldn't worry about having this decoder on the receiver. But make sure the reciever you choose to buy has 6 channel input(or more). then later on just buy an external decoder thats more up to date and run it through your reciever. your dvd player would be connected to the decoder and than the decoder would run analog rca cables to the 6 channel input on the reciever. i hope this helps.
  6. Is there a big difference between the phenolic diaphragm compression drivers used in some of the heritage klipsch speakers vs the titanium in the reference series? I have two pair of klipsch bookshelf speakers. one has a phenolic driver mounted on the horn and the other pair has aluminum compression drivers. When I compared these to the titanium drivers in the reference line its like a night and day difference. Why would klipsch not update there bigger speakers(like the Heresy II, Klipschorn and La Scala) to better drivers? Or am i mistaken and they already have?

  9. What is the loudest Bookshelf speaker you can by for under $2,000? The loudest one I know of is the Klipsch RB-75.
  10. rckpls, I don't I know if im interested in this sub. I just have to ask, why are you selling it? What speakers are you using to play with this sub?
  11. I have pair of Klipsch sb-3's and am looking to add a powered subwoofer. Any suggestions as to what I should get? I'm not looking at major theater low frequency output, like a svs or similar. Something in the $300-$600 range.
