I guess just leaving it cool unwrapped is still somewhat going to have a temp rise before it cools ?

Yeah, there is always a temp rise after pulling from the heat.  And it's important to give it rest to let the moisture stay in.

  2. I made some several years ago, it was quite good.  For a store bought version I recommend the Grace brand scotch bonnet sauce if you can find it, it's straight out of Jamaica.

  3. I have some of the Inferno, which has scorpion chiles, some Devil's Furnace, which uses death spirals, and a wee bit of Mama's Magma, a yellow 7 pot sauce...

    Question answered.

I confess to not participating in this thread despite my interest.  Any baseball fan will recognize my hesitation as not wanting to jinx their team.  Now that it is over I get to breathe a sigh of relief and celebrate as a true native lifetime fan.  We used to go to the minor league games before the Rangers showed up (Dallas-Fort Worth Spurs).  One of my first summer jobs was working at the old Arlington stadium for the city of Arlington at Rangers games.  Those days are long gone as the team farmed out with corporations for stadium work.  We proudly were the first major league purveyor of nachos, making fresh fried tortilla chips for every game.  Afterwards, the corps used premade chips (boo).  You know you are a lifelong fan when you're up 10-4 and you're still nervous until the final out.  It has been a long road to finally win it all.  I'm surprised Thebes hasn't joined in to lament his team being nowhere near the playoffs...sorry my friend, no one likes them anyway, lol.

nothing to do with anything ...

    Watching AZ vs Phillie baseball

bottom of the 3rd ends ...the/an umpire checks AZ's pitcher's hands. Do they do this routinely?

    ------------------------

    in case you didn't know

    Perry Mason marries Della Street.

1936 -  Case of the Velvet Claws

    now ya know

Routine now, part of the rules.  End of every inning.

boy gave me a good laugh ...

Yesterday, someone gave him a Carolina Reaper ... and he ate it.

it afflicted his stomach and today, he is wishing for a fudgesickle.... said it burned as much coming as going

    his machismo.... HaHaHa

coincidentally ... on PBS, yesterday, they had a show on peppers. According to them, one Reaper is the same as 300 jalapenos.

Made into one of my sauces, it is a flavorful delight.  Still hot, but not stupid.  Stupid is people eating fresh super hot chiles right into their mouths.

  8. What is likely to get this thread, or any thread closed or hidden are the little dog whistles and agenda seeking posts.  Mark, I clearly see your point, but maintain that adhering to the definitions is important, even as we may quibble with how the words are used (by others).  Disputing the application is certainly in the ball park.  It is the bastardization of language that is an enemy to freedom as well as coherent discourse.
