  1. I'm not sure about your second question, but I've looked into getting a DD-5.1 also. As far as I know it's not for sale anywhere (you can find a used one occasionally on eBay, but it's pretty rare). I contacted Klipsch and was told a new version will only be released in 4-6 months or more. The Creative Extigy and DDTS-100 will connect to your DVD player also and work as a stand-alone unit, you could look into those until the new Klipsch decoder comes out. I have an Audigy 2 NX, and according to Klipsch I can connect it to my XBOX (or anything with a digital in) and it will work also, but only if it is plugged into the computer at the same time. The Extigy and Audigy don't have DTS decoding though, so that's something to keep in mind.
  2. I have the 4.1's, and am looking both for a better soundcard (external for my laptop) and a surround decoder/interface for XBOX/DVD. I was looking at having to get both the Audigy 2NX and DDTS-100, but it looks like the older Creative Extigy might be all I need. I know it only supports 5.1 (which is fine for me as long as it works with the 4.1+2.1 setup), but are there any other important differences? If anyone has experience with the Extigy/Audigy, do you recommend getting the older Extigy or paying more for the new one and the DDTS? And are there any other devices you'd recommend instead? Thanks.
  3. I am looking for a DD-5.1, but can't find one anywhere. Are they discontinued, or is Klipsch releasing a new model? Does anyone know of a store that still sells them?
  4. I was wondering how the DD-5.1 would work with the 4.1's. I actually had 3 questions: 1. Would I lose the center channel, or would it be redistributed to the other front speakers? 2. How would the quality of the 4.1's with the DD-5.1 compare to the 5.1 system? Would I lose any sounds/channels? 3. Would it be possible to buy a stand-alone center speaker to add to my 4.1's, and how would it be installed? Does Klipsch offer one? Thanks for the help.
