  1. I bought my AVR 230 on the internet (JR music and computer world) (great price by the way.and excellent service..!) and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my receiver...it's rated as 55 watts per channel but it doesnt matter, it's clean power, pure, it sounds fantastic with my system. H/K are really conservative with their power ratings and Klipsch speakers are really easy to drive, so no problems. I'm sure my receiver can produce much more than 55 watts...but don't really care about the numbers, it sounds pretty good to me...and I didn't even crank it...too loud...
  2. ok that's great. I'll go ahead and buy the RW-12. very soon...ehehe what about my future upgrading issue that I wrote in the previous post?
  3. so is the RW-12 too much for the RF-15?....WITH A 50$ difference, i would go for the 12....
  4. someone said in a previous thread that if one day I want to upgrade my system I could move the RF- 15's eventually to the surround position, with say RF35's as my new fronts. I didn't know that I could put floorstandings as surrounds? Any others idea of upgrading? I'd go ahead and get more sub now if that future setup is good...like the RW-12...
  5. well I'm very glad others learn about my questions....but we must thank those who answer me, their knowledge and generosity! I trust them entirely! so if I come back to my subwofer choice problem, I will choose the RW-10 over the RW-8, does anyone know if it blends well with the RF-15...?
  6. it's also the price factor, here the RW-8 cost 575$ (CAN) and the RW-10 975$ (CAN) so that's why I wanted the RW-8....but if you say it's too small...
  7. thanks for the info.. to return to my previous question, why do they match the RW-8 with the RF-15 if it's not good enough?
  8. my living room is 16' X 14'and I listen movies and music at moderate volumes, don't like it too loud...
  9. thanks a lot for the info...really helps I'm wondering which sub I should buy, the one that goes with the RF-15's (RW-8) or the RW-10....my room is about 16' X 14'. hmm I'm afraid that the RW-8 is to small...anyone tried this small sub?
  10. wow...what a picture..!!! ! amazing thank you so much for all your answers, really appreciated...and you didnt scare me off yet...nothing will make me go...ahah you know what, I,ve got another one! so if I resume, I dont need a powerful amp if im not listening too loud...but what is underpowering ... anyway I dont listen my music or movie very loud, first my ears and second im in an appartment so others may not like...
  11. Do you think I would see a difference with a 80 watts per channel amp? mine is currently 55 watts per channel
  12. Would you say that Harman Kardon AVR 230 is a low powered amplifier, does that mean I should have bought one with more wattage?
  13. thank you so much for all your answers....and you didn't scare me off!! eheheh of course not..(I was sick and didn't checked the forum all week....) I like long and detailed answers and I understood everything, I think I know much more than the average girl... I love my speakers, don't get me wrong, as you can see above, my primary question was how loud I can listen to them withoUt breaking them and not the brightness problem... but thanks I learned someting new...i will check my connections to double check....
  14. I've got an Harman Kardon AVR 230 (65 watts stereo, 55 watts 6.1 channels)
  15. thank you, yes i enjoying them but they do sound very bright.I dont have a sub yet so I guess it will improve the low frequency .... also can i ask you another question? I don't know how loud i can listen to them without damaging them, do you know how I can determine that? thanks!
  16. Hi, when I unpacked my two tower speakers, i notice there's like foam material inside of each speaker, do I have to remove it? I tried but it was difficult so i assume it has to stay here...
  17. thanks a lot! also is it possible to know how loud I can listen music or movies without damaging them? I'm always afraid to go above -20 DB....
  18. thank you. You are right. I love my speaker but they do sound very bright, which I like because I chose Klipsch in the first place and not paradigm...eheh a lot of people dont like the bright side of Klipsch..ehehe I will go get a sub but according to the website they match a RW-8, but some people say it's not big enough, what would you say? thanks again!
  19. Hi, I've got the RF-15 but wondering if it would have been better for a couple of hundred bucks more to have got the RF-25, is there a difference noticeable? THANKS!
  20. thanks! I will get the sub as soon as i can....
  21. hi, thanks for the fast reply....no I don't have one yet but will soon... Why?
  22. Hi I got two RF-15 with RC-25 and HK AVR-230 and I can set the crossover point for each speaker. Would it be ok if I set the RF-15 at 60 HZ and the rc-25 at 80 HZ? thanks a lot! jen
  23. Hi everybody, thank you so much for all your help... I will follow your advice, you know much more than me... I found some good 12 gauge speaker wire, not too expensive. I use bare wire for now but I will upgrade it soon to banana plugs. Also I want to ask you if you ever had any problem with the center channel on the TV, I hear some noise (interference) when the TV is open. Even though the speaker is shielded, is it possible that the speaker is picking up signal from the TV. (my T.V is 1 year old, a Toshiba FST pure flat screen)
  24. also the guy at the store wanted to sell me the Monster clean power thing to plug my component in so it filters power pollution that can affect my equipment, do you use it or you just plug it in a conventional bar that protect against voltage spikes? thanks
