  1. Are all dealers clearing their Paradigm Studio series? I've listen to all of the Studio series except the 80. I was going to get the enitre set with 60s, 20s and cc480s but i just ended up with the sub, pw-2200. The 100 was amazing for the price but found it hard to pair up with a matching centre. I also didn't have a beefy amp to get the best sound. I ended up getting the Klipsch Reference Set with the Paradigm sub. If you do get the 100, you will need to find a matching centre channel for movies because the Klipsch and Paradigm sound fairly different in my opinion. The RF-7 for rears would be great if you like the directional sound. I used the RS and found them a bit weak. I wished they came with the same tweeter as the rf-7 or rb-75.
  2. The rf-5 sounds a bit better with the larger horn but not for the price difference. Get the rf-3II if you can find one. I didn't like the rf-35 at all when i listen to all 3 of them next to each other at the dealer.
  3. don't the new prologic IIx matrix the 7.1 differently? not as one channel rear.
  4. Costco has a Philips 60" HDTV rear projection for $1,800 cdn. in Canada. Don't know if it's any good but it is big n cheap.
  5. the only instructions with the RS-3II was a generic one that is shared with the rc-7 and rs-7 that came with the speakers. only info on speaker placement. I was wondering if it's worth getting the more efficient rs-35 over the rs-3II even though the RS-3II has bigger horns. My Marantz amp has discreet channel amplification so it wouldn't make a difference boosting the level controls of the rear channels without taking power away from the front channels. I believe you can try it on your Marantz too. I wish my Marantz had more juice. The Pioneer Elite I had before seems to put more current.
  6. you are right, the RS-3ii is a bit weak when used with the rf-3ii. The centre channel RC-3ii is a tad weak too. I have to turn up the gain controls for the rear surrounds. I wonder if the rs-35 work better since the specs say they are more efficient. One think i don't like about this speaker is that when you buy it new, it don't come with specs in the instructions. The back of my speaker says it can handle 150 watts but the webpage says it can handle 110 watts.. conflicting info.. I'm not even sure if the freq. range they list is even correct.
  7. Where and how much for the RS-7? I'll buy a used Rs-3II for $200 if someone is selling.. i just got a new pair today and found them to be a bit weak (just like the RC-3II) when used with the rf-3II. I may return them. The RS-7 might be too big for my wall though.
  8. Sire.. ARe you in Canada? I'm looking at buying a pair or RS-3..
  9. you are wrong. The RF-3 and RF-3II have 8 inch woofers, same as the rf-35. I think the RF-3 have woofers made in USA and rf-35 might be made in china. The old model sounds better. The only diff between the rf-3 and rf-5 is the horn and color of cabinet from what i can see. Just want to see if anyone experienced the new surrounds rs-35 and the old model, rs-3II
  10. I would love the RS-7's. I would also love to have RF-7 and RC-7 and it will never end. The RS-7 is not easy to find used and more than I want to pay. They are probably too big to fit on the small space on my wall with built in wiring. The RS-35 seems to be more efficient but do they sound betteR?
  11. I have a Marantz SR-4300 and a Pioneer Elite 27tx.. the Marantz sounds great with my rf-3ii system. i will upgrade to the sr-7400 when i get a chance but wish it had more power and thx. but too much power may blow my klipsch
  12. anyone hear the difference between these speakers side by side? I'm finally completing my RF3II system and noticed that the tower RF-3II sounded more full and better than the RF-35. I wonder if it's the same way with the rear RS-3II. I've noticed the horn is smaller on the RS-35 with a side port and the specs are a bit different. Should one stick with the RS-3II if you can find one? anyone hear both of these?
