  1. I just picked up a pair of rf-15's matched with a rc-25 center. I thought my old kg4's were good. These are great! Im running it through an onkyo sr502. entry levle receiver, but they sound good. Of course, stay with klipsch. I have to figure out a sub to go with my system now
  2. I have an infocus x1, what an awesome little projector for 900 bucks. Mine looks great. I bet your 4805 looks better yet. Don't know about the settings to pick from, my dvd player doesnt have any of those. Just had to chime in since you mention the 4805
  3. is the onkyo ht230 a speaker package? If so I bought it from onkyo , with the receiver package for upstairs last year. Then returned it. Must say onkyo was was great about the return, paid for shipping back and even refuned the shipping. The receiver was nice, and the subwoofer was good. But the rest of the speakers were "ok". No camparison to klipsch. I have a pair of old kg4's and a kv3 center chanel. I hooked up and compared the onkyo center and the klipsch center, no comparison, klipsch won, hands down. Now for the price, 200-300 for the onkyo speaker package, not too bad at all. Just dont expect it to compare to any name brand set up. You get what you pay for. I don't know anything about the kipsch package you mentioned. my 2 cents.
  4. I picked up an rc-25 center (very nice) and a rw-8. Your absolutely right. rw-8 is a nice sub, but not enough for ht. Will return it, store has liberal return policy. read review of jbl northridge 12 inch sub on cnet. They gave it a good review. can get online for 196 new.

    rw-8?

Thanks for the info. I had the same thinking about the sub, to little. Store has i liberal return policy, so im going to return it. I've had my kg4's for aboout 20 years, thought i'd treat myself to an upgrade. Pair of rf-15's or rb-25's for the mains. I saw on cnet they really liked the jbl northridge e250e 12 sub. brand new, factory sealed it said online its only $196 at deal-stop.com

    rw-8?

Just purchased a rw-8 sub to replace an old yamaha sub I wasnt very happy with. Question, I have it cranked up to full volume and at max loudness per the receiver, and its not as loud as the old yamaha. Both are about the same size sub. The rw is a lot cleaner sound, but not as loud as i thought it might be. Do I need to return the rw-8 upgrade to an rw-10? System, 95% home theatre, onkyo sr502 receiver mains pair of kg4's center rc-25 ( just bought, my kv3 died) surround, pair of quintets. your thoughts?
  7. Hello all. I have to upgrade my current home theater due to a blown center speaker. current set up main -2 kg4's center- kv-3 ( now dead) surrounds 2 quintets sub - old yamaha sub(don't like at all) receiver onkyo sr502 tv infocus front projector x1 I have to get a new center and have been comparing synergy vs reference. Have been reading the forums and searching the net. Considering a rc25 for the center. How will it sound with my kg4's? I called klipsch customer support and they thought it would be ok, but suggested a synergy center first. Should I just upgrade the whole thing? Considering rf-15 mains, rc 25 center, rs-25 surrounds, and a rw-8 sub. Was also looking at rb-25's as mains instead of the rf-15's. Will my kg4's work with a reference center? Your input would be appreciated. Also I've noticed bestbuy is clearing out the old syngery series and I can get a pair of ss.5 for about 190 for my surrounds. How would they sound with an all reference fronts? Are the rs-25 worth a $200 more?
