  1. Man isn't life a biaatch sometimes? Today I finally got after a two month wait the Klipsch Reference SW8 Sub in Silver color. To match my RSx4's. After hooking everything up I started to notice a buzzing sound from my center channel. A buzzing sound very mid sound pitched...if you concentrate on it it ruins the movie experience. Ive had this Yamaha 795 reciever for more than 4 years. I tried everything even changing the cables around and its not the center channel speaker as I took my left surround and hooked it up to the center jacks on the back of the receiver...same thing.

Did anyone ever had this problem? I have a gut feeling my receiver went pow pow :(

Thanks - Bought my RSX-4s this evening (just noticed that the mix-matched the color). I read something here that the Sanus stands were a bit unstable for the RSXs ... is that from an older model? Are yours fairly stable "out of the box"?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Perhaps unstable for the RSX'5's cause they are bigger and a bit heavier? Because the Sanus stands are meant for my rsx4's. Its a "perfect" setup...too perfect. And they are more than stable :)

  3. Hello Cheerdude :)

I wouldn't know if the RB1 speaker stands work out well for the rsx4's :( I tried looking for a manual or somethin online...but i also did not do alot of research on those stands.

Would the sanus stands do a better job? Hell yeah! The sanus stands works perfect that you think they were made especially for the rsx4s. They screw on very nicely...sturdy....the satellites will never fall off. No velcro...no bullcrap. I am looking at my stands right now as I type and they are beautifully set up. I have the silver stands to match my silver rsx4's. What I love about the stands is the isolation..they have spike feet. :) But there is no better speaker stand than the sanus Esats.

    I bought the stands at onecall.com :)

  4. Yo bro that is a freakin steal! Where you buy it?!? I was supposed to go to my audio dealer last week but the snow storm set me back...cause I cannot drag the sub on a dolly on the snow all the way to where I live. I decided I will not purchase the RW-8 but the RW-10 instead! I am getting it in silver which my dealer now is taking orders.

Don't let others fully guide you until you check things out for yourself.

I bought the RW-8 (returned it back for silver version) eyes closed without hearing it...and my room is not that small and boy it shakes that you hear it from the farthest place which is the kitchen. The RW-8...not that small...will rock a small/medium living/room. :)

This saturday I will be getting the Silver RW-8. Can't wait!

I talked to my friend in Brooklyn, and there is no problem with pickup. I'll take them if they're still for sale.

Well you got them then for $500! I will more than happily set them up in my room so your friend could hear them out. I got no problem with that. Now its all about schedule. :)

  7. The problem is the RF-3's. Those things are heavy and I do not have the boxes. If I had my own home..not apartment..I would have neatly put away the boxes in the basement. How the heck am I gonna find a way to enclose those behemoths so that they will ship safely? The largest package I have ever sent was a pair of new Klipsch SS-1's surround on Ebay. That customer was really happy lol I sold it to him mint. I have bought so many stuff that I hardly used cause I am constantly upgrading I am so picky. :(
