  1. It would cause you could have somewhat of an open box for the amp so the air current is more over the amp. Would also help the sub because there would be more air volume to move around. Not a bad idea, you would only need ot have the Sub power between the two boxes so would have to get some nice cable.

  3. I like nVidia and will stick with them. I love my GF2 GTS 32MB it works.. great.

Anyone see the motion blur demo on the web? IMHO, it sucks. I would not want to stare at a half dozen figures trying to make it look like motion blur - would drive me nuts.

Anyhoo.. both ATI and nVidia are great products and there are nitpicks about each product.

I was born on a PII300 64MB Riva128 4MB etc. 3 years ago - top-o-line then. Now I have what is listed below - it is better than my previous system so I aint complaining. There is always time for upgrades in the future when upgrades are needed.

  4. Shouldn't.. not really doing anything to hurt your Pros like taking the sub apart.

  5. Ah yeah.. the first step in Overclocking you Pros.. proper cooling. However, I would have put a radiator in front of the fan with cold water/antifreeze runnin through it to help get the extra power out of the sub.. hehehe.

These are the kinds of Posts I love to see.. nice catch Hofy!

    /edit

damn.. that is actually a cool Idea. OK Klipsch.. how about some cooling for the sub!

hmm.. heat = lower bass.. hmm.. Im sure even at the lower level.. it is hell of a lot more than these damned ACS295!

  6. a_rod, there should be a way to have your soundcard record whatever is playing

    Flat Beat.. nice

This is what I like - won't rattle the room apart but feels nice try Carter Burwell - Overture . It is from Celtic Moods and Rob Roy. Takes over 2 minutes to get to the good bass <2:16> but it is a nice instrumental bass

Let me know what ya think.

Another thing to do is get .vob trailers of THX/Dolby etc.. again.. hope to see how there are through 4-pt Pros.

As I become saddened from remembering how much better I could have it yet I lack Pros, I will let ya know of more that suit my taste when I can really experience it all..

  7. Nice catch Datsun83Z - thanks for bringing that to everyone's attention.

That is really weird. I don't know what Pioneer was thinking when they did that one I was in such disbelief that I looked up the specs DVD-A06S pdf and sure enough, bottom of page 2 in red "Digital Audio Output for Slot Models"

That is really wack. The only thing I don't like about slot is the possibility of dust etc. getting inside.

  8. Ya Seb, I like my IBM too.. really no need for me to RAID - pointless on a desktop system.

  9. I don't know if this will work for ISPs, but here on campus, I can just use my login name for email and the domain name:

    Example: paragon.domain.edu

you might be able to do something like:

    Ex: dignan17.home.com

or whatever your ISP is instead of your IP address. Call you ISP up - They might know how do do it.

  10. I ordered my drive online and it was a BareDrive package so no software came with it . Online + Bare = $$ Saved for other mor important stuff. As for a decoder car, not sure what to say. I am not gettin one just because I will have a 1+GHz computer. I am not real familiar with Voodoo cards so perhaps someone else would know. I would think it would run good. I have a PII300 w/64MB RAM and currently have my old 4MB Riva128 in and I can play .vob files just fine altho I am not sure how they compare to an actual DVD.
