  1. In the end.. he is only making himself look like a fool.. making fun of pple who post here while last time I checked.. he also posts here. Ironic don't ya think.

There will always be this type.. I have seen a few in my days and it is best to just ignore them.

  2. Ya.. forgot about that. The sound waves are going to cancel in some spots and add in others to make megga bass. Usually.. if you place the sub in a corner.. the other corners will have megga bass and generally somewhere near the center of the room with have very little bass

Again.. just take a little time and see what you like. Also, try raising the sub to around head height or thereabouts and see how that does. Mostly just experimenting and seeing what You like.

    Good luck

  3. Try in the upper left corner of your pic.. place the sub facing you. Also.. try putting the sub atop something that will place it about head level. I just put mine on my dresser and it seems to let the bass flow better. I like it and will prolly put it on a shelf unit in my dorm I think it may help in my dorm a lot but I won't be able to tell untill I move back.

In the long run.. it depends on your room, where things are placed and what you taste is. I don't like boomy bass so I try to find the best spot to account for that.

If ya need any more help.. just ask. I can come up with a few drawings pretty fast.

  4. Bigbusa.. I for one have heard demo Klipsch at a store.. and to tell you the truth.. the wouldnt know how to set them up correctly if theire life depended on it. The ones I heard sounded like crap.. I would have to venture to say that the audio source was totally screwed up because none of the speaker sets Also.. just the fact that they dont even pay attention what they sell and have on demo

Why dont you make your way to a bestbuy.. where they know at least a little more on what they are doing.

Also.. that high pitched squeal is prolly not from teh speakers but the source.. I heard the same thing on one of the set at a compuse I think. Compusa is one of the worst places to demo speakers.

Sheet.. if you want.. Ill give you a call so you can hear how my speakers sound.. almost a year with no problems. Then again.. nah.. I won't - Phones dont give the Klipsch experience.

Anyhoo.. be off with you. All you do is talk nonsense.

Why don't you go play in traffic for a while.

  5. IE he returned something and has store credit.

I would say that Comp 1 is better.. AMD and all.. lots of ram. but it should be fine. Word to the wise.. after ya find that it is in good working condition and all.. format and reinstall windows with only what You need.. get all the sheet that those companies put on that you dont really need. This all depends on how it is to you tho.. but Frankly, most of the compaq, hp, etc that I have seen have the taks bar filled with junk.

anyhoo.. GF3 Ti200 are nice cards. Im still running mt GF2GTS and it works fine

Ear, seems like you got a little carried away with your system.. well, it isn't my money so Rock On!!

  6. You have to remember that when you look at these forums, you will of course find more problems than normal. This is because the forum is made to help people with problems. I knew this when I began looking thru the forums two years ago and then bought a set of 4.1 about a year ago and I am glad I did get them. I have had no problems with the Pros at all. The only problems I get is from my sound card.. sometimes when I turn my computer on, the soundcard will fail to ingage one of the channels so I have to reboot in order to fix it. Not a big problem and it only comes up once in a long while.

  7. I would have to say HardOCP knows their stuff..

The main thing to remember is that the only thing that counts is what you like.. not what someone else says is best.

Get them both. try them out.. take the lesser one back.

  8. Is this 104 @ Idle or load? I usually run around 31°C with normal activity For Load temps.. lets see.. 45°C <113°F> These are with system temp at 27°C <80°F - Is the chipset internal sensor> This is running Prime - keeps CPU usage at 100% load.

As for my cooling.. I have 6 case fans.. 2 80mm in the upper deck blowing out to pull air across my 2 HDs. There is the PowerSupply fan below that and then in the lower deck I have 1 80mm blowing in at the front and 2 60mm blowing in from the back of the mobo tray across the HS. For HS.. I have the GlobalWin FOP38 with the DlackLabel Delta 7k RPM fan - However.. I am not running it at full power. Instead of 12V.. I am pushing 7V thru it - RMPs are low enough to where the sensors don't pick up any RPMs. Also.. with the 2 fans on the back of the mobo tray.. I can actually disconnect the HSFan and it will still spin - don't have to worry about not enough cooling. I havn't tested with the fan at full power lately.. don't really need to.

Anyhoo.. I think I got a little carried away there - helps give ya idea where ya stand. TBirds can theoretically stand temps up to 100°C! Take a look at this videoclip.. TBirds will fry within 3 seconds if there is not a HS on them.

  9. from what I have read... ATI does have better 2D performance

As for 3D.. GF3 is prolly gonna be better.

Im gonna stop there being that I really dont know much about these 2 and Im gonna send ya to HardOCP & HardForum

    enjoy.

  10. I for one am all for building your own computer. I used to be a Dell man but couldn't stand knowing I didn't need their service. Dell service is great and I was pleased during the years I owned one but I had to know what was going into my computer and that I could upgrade easily. Hope you enjoy your computer!!

  11. Any soundcard with front and rear analog out is compatible with the Pro4.1

The audigy is like the Live!5.1, just supposed better specs. so it will work fine with the Pros.

  12. Placement and breaking period are important.

After the summer going by quite quickly, I have returned to the dorm. Desk and sub are in the corner - the bass sounds and feels great with the sub level to slightly above Min. I would probably attribute this increase in performance to the greater breakin time. Placement is pretty much same as last semester.

When I first got my Pros, they seemed weak but I am greatly pleased with them now.

  13. Shoot the computer and start over Wink.gif

hehe... What if you unhook the mouse.. does it stop the noise then?

    j/k.

I assume ya can hear it with headphones.. have you tried a different mouse? I have an Intellimouse .

  14. What soundcard, mouse do you have? I would try uninstalling the Soundcard drivers as well as the mouse drivers and reinstalling Also, what PCI slot do you have you sound card in? You may want to try a different one.

Make sure the wire connections are all tight.

////Also, try switching the outlet you are plugged into or even go to a surge strip if not already. -just a thought

  15. I own the SBL! XG and the 4.1 Pros and it is a great system. To me, there is no real reason that warrants the buying of the 5.1 system. The 4.1 is a great set for a computer system and even DVD. I do not see a reason to have a center channel for computer DVD.

The SBL! XG will work with the 5.1 as it does have 5.1 channel output.
