  1. Anyone know where I can get the funky cloth used on the Chorus grills, I want my sub to match. Thanks All.
  2. Nice page. When I decide to spring for a tube amp I'll look you up.
  3. Hi All, I'm going to sell my amp. I don't need that much punch any more now that my living room is a bit smaller in the new house. The Yamaha seems to be able to run the Chorus just fine on a paltry 85wpc at least up to reasonable levels. The amp is flawless. Non-smoking, airconditioned household. It will come with the heavier set of Monsterwire with bananawhatever plugs at both ends. Not sure what the wire guage is but it's bigger than a friend has in his car. Two lengths around 25' each. Overkill in my house. $450.00 plus shipping and fees(if Paypal). If that price is unreasonable someone will let me know I'm sure Thanks, OConnor I'm really glad I saw the light and kept these speakers! Added link to Adcam GFA 5500 page: http://www.adcom.com/amplifiers/gfa5500.htm
  4. Ack! I couldn't do it! I canceled the auction. When my wife noticed me stressing over it she told me to keep them if they mean that much to me. So they are staying in the family for now, if I decide to sell in the future it will be here. I just need to exercise them more often. After playing them against the KG.5s I know I wouldn't be happy with any little speaker. I hope the 59 "watchers" aren't going to be too upset about the cancellation...
  5. Wow, lots of feedback! Thanks to everyone that posted, yeah or nay. I can feel the love! From now on I'll let you guys know first. On motorcycle forums I frequent it's either/or and nobody minds, but we aren't as tight nit (fanatical?) a group perhaps I listened to the old Chorus today and I don't know if I can sell them. I haven't really listemed to them for awhile and they are so nice. My smaller speakers just don't compare. I hooked them up straight to the Yamaha receiver (without the Adcom amp) and they still sound great. Anyway, if I keep them I may want to upgrade the crossovers, is that a straight up deal or do you need to know your stuff? I assume someone in the forum can handle it for a fee? I've been doing some searches so I don't have to hassle you for every little question, good stuff! Thanks All, and no hard feelings. OConnor
  6. Just thought someone might be interested. Did I overstep some unspoken line? If so I opologize and will refrain from posting anything I'm selling.
  7. I know my first post and I'm selling something. A little background then, I purchased them in 1991 new. I wanted Klipschorns but couldn't afford them so $1,000.00 bought me the 1st gen Chorus that I wowed friends and agrivated neighbors with for years. I power them with an Adcom GFA5500 also on Ebay. I also have a set of KG .5s and KV-1 and SW-8. I'm not selling because I don't like Klipsch but in order to buy something a bit smaller (wifes idea). I've been lurking for a while reading up on the smaller Klipsch systems trying to decide which will fill the void. Thanks all. A few very small scratches but nothing you can spot unless your right down on top of them. Everything else (top, grills, subs, horns) is perfect. Ebay Item number: 5771592769
