  1. Awesome congrats guys - you saved me from a really bad temptation haha.Enjoy the upgrades.
  2. What kind of restaurant? I might be able to turn it into a weekend trip too haha.
  3. Problem is I'm still on the hook to sell all the bedroom setup still LOL, at least downstairs I can still justify...the finish is the same right? :-P
  4. Yep - I drove to Ocala,Fl from Altanta to pick up these RF-7s - why I said quite tempting :-)
  5. Did you list these on the ATL craigslist? You guys are a quick drive for us. Tempting to upgrade to RF-7 IIs from old Is ;-) That's about what I paid for my RF-7s!
  6. I'm up in ATL - Tempting but I already fought to get to keep my RB-75s....I need a basement! Good luck down there in Macon - enjoy a Nuway (my friends dad and uncle run them).
  7. Good luck - I would love to have another set of RF-7s (if I am allowed :-D)
  8. Yep I was about to post that also for the op - seems like sealed factory hopefully. In terms of UPS, I've had to deal a similar fight with them. My suggestion is to go the twitter / social media route and threaten to escalate to the office of the president. Ask them to provide in writing where it states that it is not covered / did not meet guidelines. The phone drones just say it because well it's in their best interest to get you to give up and saves the company money. Good luck.
  9. Yep - finding my first cherry set was difficult enough - alright well everyone talked me outta selling the RB-75s but everything else is available
  10. Thanks. I just am now second guessing myself that I may never find another pair of 75s if I sell these ahhh
  11. well it was just my own birthday - can I just regift to myself so I can keep them haha.
  12. Hmm not a bad idea, and I agree at a minimum those bookshelves would sound better than the Samsung panel speakers
  13. Really? I figured black RB-75s aren't worth as much as the cherrys that I have in my main 7.1 setup. I really want to keep them for the bedroom at a minimum, but the fiance says no :-( Any suggestions from fellow married folks here?
  14. I had to trade off new tv or keep the stereo, but I decided to go with the new tv in the bedroom. No boxes, as I purchased this locally a couple years back (I'm guessing on prices feel free to suggest). They are all in good condition, will try to take some pictures to upload tonight. I am in Atlanta and would prefer to not ship but can if needed making sure to selling it all to a proper home. Black RB75s - talked out of selling :-) Black RC-35 - SOLD Black RS-35 (pair) - $200 (OBO) Black RW10 - SOLD Pioneer Elite Receiver VSX-52TX (no remote) - $100 (OBO) Also my brother asked me to list his bookshelves too: Mahogany RB-5s - SOLD (one peg is broken on bottom right of grill) Pictures are in order of: RB-5, RC-35,RS-35s,RB-75s,RW-10, receiver
  15. So I've been remodeling the bedroom some so it gives me a reason to upgrade :-) Looking for another set of RF-7 Cherry for the bedroom Also if anyone has any amplifiers with balanced inputs they like that match the 7's I'd be interested in maybe picking that up also :-)
  16. Thanks - this stuff looks better than the Monster I have (I'd think Monster is ok with all the digital equip). Would I be able to push both amps (xpa-5) through just one of these things? I guess the better fix also is to fix the ground leak.
  17. I think I have one of those cheater plugs somewhere,if not I know Home Depot has one. It may have the ground loop hum, what are you suggestions on permanant fix, do they have good high current power conditioners, or do I need to build a line filter?
  18. Dman- Oh ok usually I've seen with amps that it stays on standby until it has a source. Do you usually turn it on vs / off? CEC- What do you mean by ground loop? I know my house is grounded outside to a nice piece of riebar.
  19. I should say its a huzz/ bum (I call it feedback) but it was coming through without the unbalanced source (RCA) attached. Going through the conditioner the hum/buzz was gone with no source hooked up. Both times the amp turned itself from standby with no source. It has a toggle switch that I leave it off when I'm not using it. But if i turn it on it immediately goes from standby (red led) to on (green). Not sure about the RF source close by, I think its just old wiring. Anyone have a recommendation on a wall conditioner or a something that won't mind me pushing amps off it? I can't deal with 5 channels of noise [:^)]
  20. I got a monoblock Parasound amplifier (HCA-1201A) for a holiday present, and decided to hook it up as soon as I got back. I tried plugged it into a seperate circuit than my tv, but strangely the amplifier turns itself on and produces feedback even without a RCA hooked up. Bad outlet I figured, I plugged the power line into the back of my power conditioner unit, and it still turned itself on, but no feedback now even without a RCA hooked up. I'd rather move it back to the seperate circuit, any suggestions on a filter to put in front of the amp? I am probably going to get an emotiva XPA-5, and want to make sure this seperate circuit is clean prior to hooking it up. Any other thoughts on what might be causing that much feedback over the power line? My house is around ~25 yrs old, so I figured it might just be age.
  21. BerserkNitro - Yea I kinda thought more about it, and it make more sense for the 5 channel now, run the back surrounds off the receiver, then eventually upgrade to a big 2-channel for the fronts. Now to just get the new monoprice wire + banaplugs :-)
  22. That's a good point, but would all the 7 series stuff put a heavy strain on the amp since it looks like 1600VA transformer? It looks though for 3 channel 250X3 works until I decide to move some more stuff off the receiver. And for free shipping I may do it and get the 2 channel later.
  23. I think I'm sold, the $599 for (XPA-3) 200x3 brand new with a 5yr warranty seems like a good deal, including free shipping. Now the question is start with 3 channels or 2 :-P
  24. I've never heard of this brand before, it's funny that the 3-channel is cheaper than the 2-channel. It's tempting on 3-channel for $599 new versus 800 bucks on a used aragon (in comparing specs). How do you like the Emotiva eskimo?
  25. Thanks - I already did this, but those RB-75s are hogs also (I've played with them by themselves, they are awesome). That helped, but it doesn't sound quite as "large" as before. Did you have any suggestions on what you've heard / tried?
