  1. TV does the rest don't. But I appreciate your feedback very much.
  2. One more look at the back of my stuff and I find that my only other option for my setup is S-Video. So I guess my new question is: which is better component or S-Video?
  3. OK. Let me see if I am getting this (I am a little slow). Component (the tri-colored 3 cables-in-one setup is the best? Or do I need to run composite or S-video in addition to or in leu of? I want the best picture my money can buy. If component is not the best and all I have to do is buy a ned cable or two I want to do just that. So what is the cable that looks like and old printer parallel cable?
  4. While reading a recent post I was introduced to the DVI cable setup. I was wondering which is the absolute best as far as audio/video connections go. Is it RCA, the 3 color red yellow green deal, optical, s-video, dvi, or what? I am soooo confused. Right now I am using the optical for audio and the 3 color thing for my video. I do have a HD compatible TV. I am using a Denon 1804 receiver. I am also using a HDTV Comcast Cable converter box and a Denon 1815 DVD player. Somebody help!
  5. ---------------- I just love the way he talks, it adds so much to the movie! You have got to be kidding me! He is the reason MOST Star Wars Fans were disappointed in this movie. Jar Jar sucks! (My opinion)
  6. OK. That is a little deep for my feeble mind but I will give it a shot nevertheless. Thanks!
  7. My subwoofer has a phase invertion button on the back. When would I ever need to use this? I can't tell much difference when I listen either way.

  9. Denon 1804. Despite some negative reviews that I have read I love mine and I think it sounds great. My .02
  10. Thanks. That is what I was sort of thinking. I would rather be crisp and clean sounding that to be just a bit more boomy. If my sub ever arrives I will try it both ways. Thanks again for the input.
  11. In a recent post I read where a guy was telling someone to set your fronts, rears, and center to "large" since they (r7 series) were capable. I was wondering if my RC-25 is a capeable speaker. Enough to set it to "large" when setting up my home theater. Thanks in advance for your comments, Jason
  12. Albright! You are from Chattanooga, Tn. too? Is that what I am reading here? That is pretty cool. Hi neighbor! I agree with the incredibles being incredible.
  13. I was reading through my owners manual while setting up my home theater and I noticed something. It says "Set the frequency (Hz) below which the bass sound of the various speakers is to be output from the subwoofer" The default is 80Hz. Could someone tell me in laymans terms what this is talking about. Secondly, is one level better or worse? I am just trying to get the most out of my system. Thanks, Jason
  14. GREAT NEWS!!!! I just bought a Phase Technology Subwoofer to complete my home theater system. Below I have copied a recent e-mail transaction between myself and Phase Tech after a dissapointing trip to a local Hi-Fi shop. Look what they said. This tickled me pink!!!! Original message to Phase Tech: -----Original Message----- From: Jason Young Sent: Friday, June 10, 2005 10:09 AM To: mark j stephenson Subject: Re: Feedback Submission Form (J Young 6-10-05) I have another question. I was at a local Hi-Fi shop yesterday and I mentioned your speakers to him, asking him if they were any good. He said "that's kind of an off-brand thing". My question is: Your website and literature looks to speak otherwise. It looks like you are a high quality manufacturer. Could you please dispell his statement? He carries brands such as Definitive Technology and Marantz. Are your speakers a matched quality to these? Sincerely, Jason Reply from Phase Tech: Jason, Without going into great detail, Phase Technology used to sell to only select dealers and no one else. This is why he is saying this. I would be interested in what he is meaning by off-brand. If he means are we like Koenigsegg (see attachment) in the car industry, then hes right. We are high performance without the name brand tag. In reality, we are one of the better engineering speaker companies in the U.S. As a matter of fact, we are the last fully integrated speaker manufacturer left in this country. We build our own voice coils, drivers, crossover networks, and chokes. We have built for manufacturers such as McIntosh, Yamaha, Sony, JVC, Electro-Voice, Atlantic Technology, Bogen, MCS, Fried, Speco Technolgies, Mitsubishi, Induction Dynamics, Sound Tube, to name a few. He have built product for companys speakers that cost any where from $100 to $35,000. We will soon be shipping the worlds only digital theater system that incorporates REAL room correction. In 1967, we invented and patented the soft dome tweeter, one of the most widely used speaker drivers in the history of audio. We were the first to use neodymium magnets in speakers and invented the flip-out dog-ears most all companies use to mount in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. We build product that meets or exceeds the quality of speakers costing many times more, though we are priced similar to Paradigm, Definitive Technology, Infinity, Klipsch, and the rest of the brand name, Chevy types. 15. LOL. You guys are right, I do have some catching up to do. That is why I like this forum with knowledgable people like yourselves to help me along the way. You are also right, I also found out yesterday that my Denon equipment is made in China as well. My phase Techs, Definitive Techs, and my Digital Phase speakers are all made in the USA though. I guess (like many others) my buying power constricts me to the lower to mid range priced equipment. This gives me a higher chance at buying sweatshop stuff. Thanks for the info.
  16. Hope? Is this a city in some state? Go ahead and laugh. I really do not know where these are made. I gather based on the name Hershey that possibly it is Pennsylvania?
  17. You have got to be kidding me! I found out today through a local Hi-Fi store that Klipsch Reference series speakers are made in China or at least with Chinese parts. I just bought a new RC-25 center. Does anyone know if this is true? Please, someone tell me this is a myth. I though (based on the name) that Klipsch were German or Dutch made. I know, I know, if they sound good and look good who cares.....me. : (
  18. OK, so I just bought a new sub to add to this system. It is a Phase Technology Power 12. Do you guys think it will outperform the Klipsch KWS-50?
  19. You say "Thank god" you changed from Def Techs. I am curious. I thought Def Techs were great speakers. You speak of them as if they were some Wal-Mart special. Could you elaborate on your comment? Just curious
  20. I will have to find a professional dealer. I think the closest one to me is about 85 miles. Not many have touched on the original issue though. Of what I DO have does anyone forsee any problems with compatability/sound etc. (Other that the mismatched fronts?) For instance tuner, sub, rears,dvd-player,etc? Does anyone have any tips on setup and how to find the sweetest sound when doing so. Wiring, positioning, volume, anything that I might be unaware of?
  21. Yes, I need to get on over to Best Buy and see what the Klipsch will do. The Digital Phase won the showstopper award in NYC back in 1993 or 1995. That has been a long time ago. Maybe speaker designs are better now. By the way my DP are only about 4 years old. haha
  22. I thank you guys greatly for your comments. This is what I hoped I would get. A lot of participation and advice. I need to sell the RC-25 I guess and save up for the DP center. Around $800.00 I think???
