  1. when you say "caps" I am assuming you mean capacitors in the crossover? I read somewhere that one of the members builds new crossovers. Does anyone know who he is?
  2. Yes the back comes off with screws. I don't know how many. And yes the grilles come off also. Thanks all for the welcome!
  3. I just got my first set of heritage speakers. Picked up a set of cornwalls #'s 7N146 & 7N147. It took a little while to get used to the sound - a little "squawky" but I am getting used to them and am hearing sounds I never heard before. Can anyone fill me in on what year they are and if they are II's? I know this is warped but I am thinking of new crossovers after only 4 days. I guess I have the bug! Also, I paid $650 I think this is a decent price - the grilles are very good and the cabinets have minor dings. They should be very easy to block sand and stain. thanks for the help!
  4. I have a chance to purchase a pair of '84 cornwalls. They are all original and appear to be in good shape. Is the '84 version o.k.? Does anyone ahve any input on this particular speaker? You guys have been great and I am very impressed with the knowledge and advice on this board. Thank You All
  5. After reading the modifications that will be necessary to build false corners for the horn's and taking a second look at my room I, sadly, will not be able to use the horns. As I am new to the Heritage series speakers I am now interested in LaScala's and Cornwalls. Do you have any advice or recomendations on the two. My room is 40'x35' and has a 16' vaulted ceiling. Thanks for the input.
  6. I am considering a pair of klipschorns. I currently have the rp3's and they are good. But after reading all the accolades given to the 'horns I want a pair. My only concern is that I don't have corners to put them in. Is this a problem or should I should I try something else like the lascala's? Any help would be appreciated.
  7. I NEED A RP 3 RIGHT SPEAKER - ANY HELP OUT THERE?
