Let's be real, your set up certainly doesn't induce an image of power let alone fire breathing monsters!! SVS subs in your price range would get semi-close to power without quite obtaining the ultimate. Ticket is to start with the best that you can afford and not skimp on such important elements of a HT.

Great bang for your buck is the Outlaw Audio 990 which recently reduced their internet only price to just under $1,000! This coupled with a powerful amp is a great combination.

Yes, I think you are missing something. I believe that Kenwood is in the same league as the old Fischer brand and probably on par with Daewoo (Walmart; Target). In the case of Kenwood, you get what you pay for and that usually ain't much.

You are right...a sub is mono and as a result you need just one rca connector to be plugged into either input.

Go for the RF-7's...spend a little more and have Dean's crossover upgrade (subtle improvement, very subtle)...these have a sweet resonance that you just don't find on the new 83's....
Upgrade your amp sometime as well, the Rf-7s need power to support headroom...you will need it for these power hungry speakers.

Go with the RF series, they are excellent speakers. Personally I have my eyes on a set of Wilson Watt Puppies for my strictly audio listening room. My Home Theater I run RF-7's with Dean's crossovers and they are quite excellent.
RF is certainly the way to go.

This has been getting some of the best reviews recently...both the smaller F112 and F113's. Beats out the Velodyne's DD18 even. Anyone have any experience with this sub?

Your 2807 will have no trouble running your Klipsch. However, the more power you apply to them the more headroom, and the more clarity you will ultimately obtain. I have two HT rooms, one with a 2807 running Angstrom in-ceiling speakers and it sounds fine. For more exhilarating sound, I use my 2nd listening room which features separates with a 300+ watt amp. It makes my RF7s truly reach their potential.

Check out the Denon 2807 complete with HDMI switching and most settings one would like. Or step up to a Sunfire TG-3, certainly the best of the best...the rest are really toy-like[

When he is ready to step up leave a message, there is a lot of great info here, a lot of good advice if you can extract the bitterness from those that just chose poorly in their equipment selection. Good thing to remember, buy right the first time, go for quality and what is proven. Don't settle for less...KEF, Denon, etc....

I would certainly budget for a minimum of $75-$85K to do your room right. Always keep in mind change orders as you progress. When it's time for equipment, give me a call...
