  1. Thanks for the kind words Doc! (PS: Spaaaz sends a hello)

I am not going to try Ebay as I dont want the hassle. I would rather know they got a good home by a contact within the forum. They are extremely well kept. Only one tiny, tiny chip at the far bottom of one but it cannot be seen by the naked eye when 1 foot back.

I will just keep them if no interest. I can tell my wife "I tried honey but they would not sell". Oh darn! Hee hee

  2. Hi Guys. Long time no speak.

I am going to be selling one of my sets of Cornwall 1's. C-BR 1978 SN#17s553 and 17s602. They are entirely original and I will include 4 new capacitors which I never installed.

If you are interested send me an email at kmill99@sbcglobal.net. I will email you pictures. These are for pickup only.

I am located in Aurora, Illinois. They are very, very nice condition. I purchased some risers (not attached to keep them original) from one of they guys on the forum. The serial numbers do not match. I am not sure how that happens but regardless they are very well kept. Please make fair offers. I paid $900

PS: I am Spaaaz's brother. I think Dr. Who and Michael Colter have both picked up stuff from him and I am just a short distance further.

  3. Hi.

I have a request for a speaker system that will give a great deal of bass for both movies as well as cd's without a huge expense. He was looking at the Quintet II home theatre system but I dont know if this is any good.

    Looking for some suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

  4. I added risers to my 78 corns. It was purely for esthetics and did not seem to change the sound in anyway. They just look a bit more eloquent.

I have been searching for the light colored grills for a long time but have never found a pair for sale. I have seen what I am looking for on some 60's corns. They look like a light brown/gold mixture. I wish I could locate so if you ever come across them let me know and I will do the same.

  5. Thanks Al. I will check it out.

I was leaning towards the 250. Now that I have quick means of comparing (your web link) I am better informed.

Can you give me some comparison on the 250 vs the MC-275 and teh MC 275 Commeemorative Edition. Anything good/bad/ugly you can tell me about?

Any input you can lend would be much appreciated.

PS: Been watching the MC30 auction? WOW and OUCH!

  6. Since I noticed the MC30 post happening it sparked my interest in the MC's again.

I was wondering what would be the best match for a set of 78 corns and an older McIntosh Stereo Amp. I wish to get great low level listening as well as be able to rock out the corns like my HK 730 and HK 930 currently provide, but was wondering if the MC's would warm/clean up the quality. I am extremely happy with the HK's but am I missing anything by not using the Mac's?

If money was not an object which would be the absolute best fit given this scenario? Use as a preamp etc?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

    Kevin
