  1. I have been a happy iFi owner for almost 5 years now and was wondering if it's possible to upgrade the RSX-3's to something like the RB-41II's. Is this possible ? I would imagine the 120hz crossover in the iFi for the RSX-3 would be appropriate for the 41's. The efficiency seems similar as well. So it seems like it should work but wanted to find out from others about this before proceeding. Thanks
  2. Hi brad, Audyssey can be a bit confusing at first. I'm adding a link to the FAQ section at Audyssey which should help ansewer your questions. With your speakers I would set the speaker size to small and use an 80hz or 60hz crossover with the mains and 8ohz with everything else. If the receiver doesn't offer individual crossovers for each channel then go with 80hz. Make sure the crossover is disabled on the sub or turned all the way up. Set the phase to 0 to start with and adjust if needed. When taking measurements make sure the mic is on a small tri-pod for best results. Let me know if you have any firther questions. http://www.audyssey.com/technology/faq.html
  3. I recently tried hooking up my DVD player to the iFi but im getting some sort of distortion which sounds like the pre-amp stage is possibly being overloaded by the output voltage on my DVD player. The DVD player outputs a standard 2 volts. Is this to much for the iFi ? Are there any other thougts on the matter. It is happening on both of my units as well. When using my computer and iPod the unit works fine. Thanks
  4. Disregard this post. Problem has been solved. Located info in product section.
  5. I know this question has been asked before but could not find the thread in a search. I need to get an adaptor for my iFi to accomodate my new iPod Video 30GB. Can someone let me know how to go about doing this. Thanks
  6. I had a feeling it was not being discontinued but an update would not have surprised me. There are alot of people who hate the remote. Plus I thought they might have tried redesigning the dock for 5G iPods. Granted there is an adaptor but I have seen stuff like redsigns happen shortly after products are introduced. Good to know it's still available.
  7. I was recently at Circuit City and they stated the iFi was discontinued. I have a hard time believing this. But noticed Apple no longer had it listed at there site. So whats up ? Im thinking that it is being updated and all the sale prices I have seen where to clear out remaining inventory. Can someone shed some light on the situation Thanks
  8. Hello Everone, New iFi owner and memeber here. I'm quite pleased with this system especially compared to everyhting else on the market. The RSX 3's have a very smooth and balanced sound and integrate with the sub seamlessly. I have sat here for hours and the sub never draws attention to itself. Which is truly amazing. I have never heard a multimedia system integrate like this one does. A big thumbs up to the engineers and designers of this system. My question is. What is the -3db extension point for this sub ? Also what where the crossover changes in the RSX3's in comparison to the ones you would by on their own ? I have been so impressed with these speakers that im thinking of purchasing the larger 4's or 5's and creating a HT system around these. Thanks
