  1. I'm having the same problem too. I've tried it on different systems. Like others said if i fiddle with the wires it will work temporarily or if i turn it up really loud it might kick in. I've had these a couple years now and have replaced the control pod once for a similar problem, but now its back again.
  2. Hi guys, Ive been playing around with my setup the last couple of weeks. Can you tell me if these settings for the sub are right, using with Quints. I set the receiver cross over to 100Hz. (the range is 60-150). What about the level, lowpass and phase on the KSW-12? Initially, when i had no idea what i was doing, I had the cross over set at 150 on the receiver, and on the sub, the level 6 and lowpass 100. I aslo had to set the sub volume on the reciever almost all the way up becasue i wasn't hearing anything, is that normal? Thanks for any replies, Chris

  4. Hi everyone, I'm trying to set up my first, budget home theatre in my apartment. I've never hooked up anything like this before. My new KSW-12 Subwoofer just arrived and I am clueless on what wires I need to purchase to hook it up to my receiver, an Onkyo TX-SR501. The sub has r/l LFE ouputs, or you can use standard speaker wires it looks like. I'm still waiting for my receiver to arrive but it has one subwoofer preout I believe. My question is what does LFE stand for and should I use this to connect it to my receiver or some type of speaker wires?. In either case, what is a good type to buy? Also, I'm using the quintett II for my speaker setup. Any one that can give suggestions on the best way to set up would be appreciated, Thank You, Chris
