  1. Bob thats a great short list but for the money the klipsch sub-12 is a 650 watt downward thrust sub and is a better choice to the speaks you already have. It retails for about 499 to 525 you can also look on e-bay. David
  2. Well you have bought a great set of speaks the problem is your receivers output is not good enough for those speakers. the min watts for those speaks is 140 and you are using 85. So you are not even touching the min required to drive them. The Denon 3808 is a great receiver for these speaks and it is a 7.1 surround and has 120 watts per channel although it's not 140 it still creates great sound also you might want to invest in a sub as well the klipsch sub-12 goes well with these speaks. welcome to the home of high end equipment if you want great sound you have to pay for it. Yamha also makes a great receiver hope this helps
  3. Well I can tell you I have the 3803 and I traded in my Yamha vx1500 for it. And I have no regrets the 3803 is a far better receiver and I have it driving the F-3"s S-3"s and C-3 and sub 12 . My only complaint is the remote is a pain in rear but other than that it's great I hope you decide to get 1 And as for the additional equp on the receiver it will handle anything you want to put on it dvd, satlight, X.box, turntable, casst, vcr and more. Good luck
