  1. Happy to get the money, but sad to see them go. Bought them 5 years ago with the Mitsubishi DA-A15 power amp and the DA-P10 pre for $900.00. Got my money back and was able to keep the power amp and pre.
  2. Speakers were picked up on monday the 26. The new owner is a first time Klipsch owner. He will be running them on a tube amp. When he got them home he noticed a sound level difference between the two. About 30 %. Found loose connection on crossover and informed me all 100% sounding now. I will miss them. I will never find another speaker ever to match them. If I ever can offord it, I will buy K-Horns. But 2 things first, much bigger room and more money.
  3. Still have these mint sounding 1978 LS for sale. Type AA crossovers. Oak veneer finish. Damage to finish in places. Have spare veneer to fix. Asking $1000.00 or best.E-mail me at classichitz@yahoo.ca. for pictures and more info. I am located about 4 hours north of Toronto Ontario Canada.

  5. If I had to room to keep them, I would consider it.I really don't want to get ride of them, but I have to have a reality check. These are the best speakers I have ever owned.
  6. 1978 La Scalas, mint sounding condition.Type AA crossovers. Never been modified.Finish is oak venneer. There are scaches and chips out of the veneer. Have spare veneer to repair. They were originaly black finish. My brother finished them in oak veneer. I am second owner. My brother is original owner. They are located in the North Bay Ontario Canada. 4 hours north of Toronto. Buyer to arrange pickup. Asking $1000.00 or best reasonable offer. e-mail for extra picture or info at classichitz@yahoo.ca.
  7. My La Scalas were purchased in late 78. The amp and pre that my brother used when he had them was a Mitsubishi da-a15 power amp and a da-p10 pre amp bought at the same time. I bought his set up about 5 years ago. I think they sound absolutly fanaminal. I have done many dances with this set as a dj. This is my own personal opinion.
  8. The oak venner finish on my 1978 La Scalas. When my brother owned them from new, they were then black finish. He vennered them for his living room. I bought them 5 years ago for djing. They sound great, but the chips in the veneer. I wish they were black again.
  9. I was using my dvd player using coaxial out. I tried my sony cdp-xe270 cd player with rca then toslink. I found cd player sounded much better in 2 speaker mode.
