  1. Thank you very much! So as you are so satisfied with them I guess I will buy them...
  2. Hi, I am looking for surround speakers for my system (2 RF7s and RC-7). As the RS-62 seem to be better I think I will buy them instead of the RS-7s. Does anyon have experience using them and do you think they would fit in my system? Thanks in advane, MojoX
  3. Alrighty! First of all: Leok, can you please post a pic of your power line filter? I can't find it here in germany and don't know what to look for really. So I am not able to post pics of my amp as my webcam is broken.. You can google though... To the amp: Its 50 watts are more than enough for the RF-7s,that's clear. In fact it has a lot of power and you have to be careful with the volume knob... The first thing which comes to your mind when you turn it on is that the sound is extremely clear. And then it depends what music you listen to. When you listen to Coldplay e.g. /X&Y) it is quite stunning how present the voice of Chris Martin is. It is so there and clear that you are really stunned. In this case the sound is very sweet and involving. You are very dragged into the music when listen to it. This is always the case when listen to slow songs in which the voice is dominant. The voice comes out of the middle and is very present and clear. Its simply beautiful. Althoug the creek doesn't offer the most detailed (although it presents lots of details of course, but maybe the tests which were great were right concerning the details....) sound though its sound is very rhythmical, dynamic, fast and clear. When you listen to faster tracks the sound is very dynamic and strong so that you sit there and wanna dance. This is perhaps the real strengt of the creek: It is a perfect messenger of moods. When the song is sad you wanna cry and when it's happy you wann laugh and dance. The amp is really involving. And this although I still use a dvd-player to play my cds. In a few days I get a cd player and I will write what has changed. Sometimes I still have the feeling that the creek could be warmer although it is said to be a quite warm amp. I hope that with the new cd player it will be different... Back to the review: The really good thing is that you can listen to every music direction very well. When I was stunned by listening to coldplay I was also stunned when listenig to Smashing Pumpkines. When I loved the new Prince I also loved Jimi Hendrix or Dido. I have to admit that I barely listen to classic music though..... So at the end I can highly recommend this amp.You can listen with it to all music genres and the amps has strengths that come to light with very different kinds of music. As I said before the amp is able to make you dance and make you cry.Everything is possible :-). If you have questions feel free to ask. Cheers, MojoX
  4. Is anybody interested in a review of the Creek A 50i with the RF-7s?
  5. I only want to say that I bought the Creek amp but I need to listen to it a few more days to be able to provide a good review. I can say that it has a very clean sound with an amazing soundstage. The voices mostly come from the middle. Plus it is a very musical, fast and dynamic amp and has of course more than enough power for the Klipsch speakers. Moreover you get quite focused on the music when you listen to it,Sometimes I feel that it could be a little warmer but only sometimes. Well, I need to listen to it more to be able to say more, perhas little other disadvantages etc... So hang on, MojoX
  6. Okay, thx I will report about it if I buy it. The chances are high that I will...
  7. Hi, I am going to buy the creek A 50i amp tomorrow. It got great reviews by the press and when I listened to it very much. I did listen to it with other other horn speakers though... So before I buy it I would like to know what you think of the amp and possible alternatives. A tube will come in the next 3 years. Now it has to be a solid state amp. I heard that the creek isn't so strong when it comes to bass but this is not really bad because I have neighbours and in the future I am going to buy a sub + I have a small rooom... So if you have an opinion to the amp an answer would be nice. Cheers, MojoX
  8. Another thread from me as I am looking for a new amp. As I said in the other thread I am looking for a new amp for my Klipsch RF-7s. Now the Onkyo A 9755 amp is in my mind as I can get a good deal with it. Does anyone have experiences with it? It would be nice if you could tell me something about it. Thanks, Mojo
  9. Another amp which I could get is the Onkyo A 9755. I will have to buy the amp first and then if I don't like it I could send it bac. So I am looking for advise... Does anybody know the Onkyo or the Harman? Cheers Mojo
  10. Hi, I am looking for a new amp for my quite new RF-7s. As my budget is limited I thought that the Harman Kardon HK 970 is a good idea, propably combined with the cd-player HD 970 which is also good. So does anyone have experiences with this amp and perhaps with this cd-player? And how do you like it? Thanks in advance! Mojo
  11. Normally I would prefer a good amp too but the problem is that the RS-7 are discontinued and propably much cheaper than the new RS-62...
  12. Hi, I got my new RF-7 this week and I am very happy with them. Even with my Yamaha RX-757 they sound good when listening to music and movies. But as I have some money left I can buy me now a new amp (Atoll In 80) which is much better for music than the Yamaha or I can buy 2 RS-7 which I can't get anymore in a few months.. (I could buy the new RS-62 though). Well, I tend to buy the RS-7 but everytime I listen to music I think that with the Atoll it would be propably almost as good as having sex (because even with the Yamaha it is good). So what do you think? By the way: I have already the RC-7 and I use 2 floorstands from another brand as surrounds Thanks in advance! Mojo
  13. I solved my dilemma and bought a pair of RF-7 speakers which I will get in about 10 days. That's a little crazy but I can't wait to welcome them in my apartment. I could have waited for the new speakers but at least the RF-83 is much more expensive and I think the RF-7 is propably better than the RF-63... Cheers Mojo
  14. Sadly I don't have the possibility to do that. It will definitely be a blind buy. What I can imagine is that the RF-5 has more power and a more full sound when listening to stereo music. The RB-75 could be a little better in the higher levels. Am I right (at least a little) and which speaker would you chose if you had to replace your RF-7 with either RB-75 or RF-5 ?
  15. Yes, my dealer has them in stock. Together with the RB-75 he reserves them for me.Depending on how much my old speakers bring me on ebay I will buy the RF-5 (which is likely) or the RB-75 (when my old speakers fail to get my calculated price...)
  16. That sounds nice! Do you know how much the RF-63 will cost? I am going to buy the RF-5 next week.Do you think it is much weaker than the RF-63? I could buy the RB-75 instead but I think for stero the RF-5 are better...
  17. I just checked and realized that I could afford the RF-5 as well.If I would transfer more money I could get them. The problem would be that I would have to wait for a center a few months then... So what do you guys think: Is the RB-75 at least an equal good choice for me as the RF-5? To your memory: I have a room with only 16 square metres. Then I have a sunfire true sub mkII which is pretty good and then I will buy klipsch rears later (propably RS-7/RS3 or RB-75/35). So again the question: which one is better for music and movies: RB-75 or RF-5? Or are they about the same? Greets Mojo edit: If my old speakers which are on ebay now bring me the calculated money I will buy the RF-5s. I just talked with my Klipsch-dealer about that and he will reserve both, the RF-5 and the RB-75 until the end of the month....
  18. I have or I wil have next week the RB-75s.I will use them as mains. Then I am going to buy the RC-7.That is clear for me. But the question is about the surrounds. As I understoood the RS-7 would be the best. I will have to check my bank account though because the RS-7 are more expensive than e.g. the RB-35s. But propably I will wait until I can afford the RS-7s...
  19. Do you think I can use the RB-35s (if I don't buy 2 more RB-75s) as rear speakers or that they would be sufficient or would the RS-7 speakers be better?
  20. Sure, I am very keen on describing my impressions. I can't wait to listen to the RB-75s (but I have to for at least 10 days) Cheers, Mojo
  21. No but my instinct said to me that the RB-75 are the better choice...
  22. As I am quick sometimes with my decisions I bought a pair of the RB-75s today for a pretty good price (850 dollars including stands). I am happy with my decision and I can't wait to get them.
  23. Thanks for your opinion. Well, I have the Sunfire sub which is great. It only goes up to 80hz which is enough though I guess (for the RB-75). And then I will use my floorstands which aren't capable of function as good front speakers as rear speakers (which they do now as well). For the center I would have to wait a few months as it is not really cheap. But I learned that it is better to buy step by step than to by all at one point... So I will check the prize for the RB-75 again and think how I will position them in my living room...
