  1. Don't run it at all? Or run it, but don't disconnect the horn?
  2. Sorry to bump, but bump. Anyone know if I could cause any damage by disconnecting the tractrix horn, but leaving the speaker attached, and in operation? I know precisely zero about electrical engineering. Thanks guys, Nick
  3. Update question: Will I possibly do any damage to the speaker by just disconnecting the wires to the existing/broken tweeter/horn, while I wait on my delivery of the new one? It sounds so incredibly awful that I can't listen to anything, right now. Thanks!
  4. Indeed they did. In stock, also. $24. Thanks!
  5. I have a set of Synergy F3s that I've been rocking since '05. Just today, I blew one of the tractrix horns in one of them. Does Klipsch sell OEM replacement parts? Does anyone? What about after market parts? I don't have the money to replace the whole speaker set at this point, and am just looking for a patch to a problem. The crackle coming out of the thing is insanely loud. Any help Klipsch Community? Thanks in advance, HaeSuse
  6. roger that audiophiles, right?
  7. Roger that, everyone!! I had 6 cables laying around (more like 4 million, go figure), plugged them in, hooked it all up, set it to Multi Channel SACD, set the receiver, plugged in a multi channel SACD, and sat back, and enjoyed. Thanks a ton!!! THE SOUND IS MAGNIFICENT!! I would like to reccommend Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon!!! It is mind blowing on my stereo, which isn't too expensive, so, I imagine, on a wicked system, that it could be orgasmic. again, thanks!
  8. actually, I take everything back. The only way I can get sound to come out of my speakers, when playing an SACD, is to set it to normal CD. If I set it to SACD, on my Sony player, then the time goes, and tracks go by, like its playing, but no sound comes out of my speakers. I have no idea what's going on... I looked around the web, and these forums, and can't find any help... any clues?
  9. So, I just realized that my DVD/CD player is SACD compatible, and that I have some SACD's. I threw in a Sam Cooke SACD, and played it. However, my question, is this: It plays, regardless of what type of output I pick on my receiver. Meaning, if I pick, Dolby, DTS, Stereo, Analog, Direct, Stereo 5.1, Whatever, it plays. And sounds differently, in each mode. When I use the onscreen input/output feature, it shows the input as being PCM, but I thought I understood SACD's to NOT use PCM?? What is the intended mode for SACDs?? It is a Sony CD/SACD/DVD player, hooked up via Monster THX coaxial digital audio cable, to a Denon AVR2105 Receiver... If you need more info to answer my question, lemme know. It doesn't sound to impressive, to me, at this point, but, I don't have a non SACD version of any of my SACDs, so it's impossible for me to make an immediate and definitive comparison. Thanks in advance! HaeSuse
  10. restructuring complete. Sounds beautiful. Only have to live in this apartment for another 4 months, so, I won't be putting up any sound absorption material; not worth the effort, for 4 months. My neighbors hate me, but it sure sounds good.
  11. Thanks a million, LebanonKlipschFan. I am beginning the restructuring, right now.
  12. my HT room is about 26' x 12'. Way too long for what I need, and there is going to be an empty space in my setup. My question is, will it be better to have the empty space behind the TV and front channels, or behind the couch/recliners and rear channels? Or does it matter? Also, what ARE the downsides of having such an empty space? Mine will probably end up being something like 8-10' of open area, for my aquarium, tables, bookcases, etc... Thanks in advance for helping a newb out HaeSuse
