  1. Also in the Lutheran world, don't confuse the above with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod or the Lutheran Church Wisconsin Synod. In college the LCA, ALC, AELC all banded together and rotated which soup congregation we would attend. The Missouri Synod group called us the "other" Lutherans. We called the Episcopalian who hung out with our group a closet Lutheran though I think he called us all closet Episcopalians.

I attend a "liberal" Missouri Synod Lutheran church (everyone raises only their right arm during praise worship, at a 45 degree angle).

The Wisconsin Synod folks call us heretics because women are allowed to speak AND vote. ;-)

  2. Amy: Although I think it's wonderful it's finally been decided where the pilgrimage will be this year, it's probaly unlikely that Verna and I will be able to attend this time, unless something changes and I am able to find employment and still get the time off needed to drive down and back. Regardless, if something does enable us to be there, you know that we will. Sounds like a fun time. -Glenn

    Glenn,

Good luck on the job front. Sorry I won't be able to see you this year!

  3. Please keep your picture sizes down to a reasonable, 72-dpi, size, and when you quote someone, please don't include their previous photo. That will help.

    Carry on, Right-This-Minutemen!

Photos hosted off-site (i.e., Picasa, photobucket, Imageshack, my own server, etc.) shouldn't be a problem, should they?

  4. At their best, a good analog FM signal fed to a top notch tuner beats this plastic thingie.

Trouble is, that's almost impossible to find nowadays. This little Sony and HD easily falls into the top 10% of FM tuners I've listened to... and that's normal FM. The HD is slightly compressed, but not really noticible, and sounds better than most regular FM broadcasts.

All INHO, of course, and YMMV.

    P.M.
