  1. Is 250 watts per channel going to damage my 3.5's? I know it is way more power than they require but it is a high quality great sounding amp and I'm assuming it would clip before it fried my speakers. Am I safe?
  2. Thanks, you made me look and now I see :-) The 2.2V has a different tweet than the 2.5 and 3.5 And now I know that the V means it is sheilded, so off to Ebay I go in search of some KG2.5V 's, just like you said in your first reply. Thanks for indulging me it was very helpful. -Jeff
  3. What is the difference btw the 2.2V and the 2.5V? Thanks,
  4. I used a Yamaha intetrated 100W amp (can't remember the model #, purchsed in 1996 ) to power my KG3.5 's and things could get a bit harsh at high listening levels. I now use the Yamaha to power the rears with a Lexicon MC-1 taking over the preamp duties and they sound fine. So I would suspect that the preamp section of the Yamaha was the source of my brightness although with the Yamaha in the rear I'm less likely to notice if it is still btight anyway. My $.02
  5. So, I take that the "V" means it's shielded?
  6. I want the best timbre match center for my kg3.5 fronts but it must be shielded, which rules out all of the KG series (I think?). Of the modern series' I'm not sure which is the best match or if the KG series was considered 'Reference' (I kind of doubt that they were). Anyone have a hometheatre with KG 's or know of the best match? Thanks, Jeff
