I heard about it on another forum so I called and confirm it. Yup, 400 bucks at J&R's(online store) but you have to order over the phone. Its not advertised on there web site at that price. Free shipping too. Well OK. Thats all I got.

Cool beans. It all sounds real good. Next Friday when I get paid I'm going to the big city (Springfield Mo) and pick one up. I would love to order one from Vann's and pocket that $50. But I have this picture in my mind of Fed-Ex or UPS drop kicking my reciever to my door step as it rains on it all day while I'm at work. Those people are rougher than a cob. Anyway, if anyone gets anymore info on the 663 good or bad please post it. Thanks guys.

First of all I want to Thank you for all the help. Will the Yamaha sound pretty good with my 62's.
-
As you can see in my signature I have (soon to be) a 5.1 system. I am looking at these two recievers. RX-V463 and RX-V663. http://www.yamaha.com/yec/compare/Detail.html?compitem1=&compitem2=567576&compitem3=567571&CTID=5000300&VNM=LIVE&comp_items=567571&comp_items=567576&B_compare.x=24&B_compare.y=7. I hope the link works. I don't have a fancy flat screen, just an old school TV. The salesman is saying the one that cost more money would be a better deal and sound better, but it has less power. I'm into the sound. My old reciever is giving me trouble. Can you all help me out?

Man, thats a big sub. I've heard good things about it. I ordered the A3-300. I don't have the big bucks. Gonna be a long wait but I'm sure it will be worth it.
-
I can put the sub in between my TV(old style) and my front left speaker. Would that be better? Or would the corner be better?
-
Wow. Its a little more complicated than I thought it would be. Its like a complete reconstuction of the whole living room. That won't happen. Thanks for the explaination.
-
O.K. But is there Pros or cons to having one. I have a sub on order and I'm putting it in the corner. Do I need to One( bass absorber)? Does it make the sound really good?
-
I seen it in the "garage sale" section and I was wondering, whats it do?
-
I have the 62's and I really like them. I would say stay with 62 center channel for sure.My reciever is an old Denon 1803 I bought from a friend for a $100. I think its 80 or 85 per channel. It pushes it pretty good. Good luck.

Is that a double wide?

When I was a kid (raised in N.E. Okla} I could tell the change of the seasons. But not anymore. Oh ya, when I get to Heaven I wonder If I will get some cornwall III's?

Yesterday and today it was 60 degrees and above. We worked in the garden trying to get it ready to till. Grilled out. Had some friends over. Built a fire and had a few beers. Tonight and tomarrow going to get heavy rain and tuesday there is a possibility of getting one of the worst snow and ice stroms of the year. Now thats screwed up.

Cool beans. Thank you wuzzzer. Oh ya, I ordered my sub yesterday and I'm STILL waiting for it.
-
Thank you for the replys. The waiting game is going to kill me. Also, I have some of the movie's mention above. I'm a big fan of "The Lord of the Rings". I think I need to get a SPL meter and then try to figure out how to use it. I also don't know which sub cable to get. I want one that dosen't allow any Hum. I have seen some on Blue Jean and Monoprices but still don't know one from the other.
-
I have the 62's and they are nice. But.I really wish I would have waited and saved alittle extra cash and went with the 82's. Everyone told me to go with the 82's and I didn't listen.

Yes its my first subwoofer. I hope it goes good with my Klipsch. Its a Elemental Design A3 300 with the upgrade driver(130v.2 for $30 more). Here is a link http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_41&products_id=102. I'm really excited and proud as well. I don't have anybody who would appreciate a good sub so I went straight to this forum to tell you guys about it. And thanks Ear for your help. I went a little over my budget, but who doesn't. Now I have to wait 6-8weeks but I'm sure it will be worth it.

It kills me to think I'm running a Panasonic
-
I'm glad you were online and grateful for your reply. Elemental Designs it is. Thanks again my friend.

I'm a poor man and I have no sub. I've been looking at this sub http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_info.php?t=0&products_id=407 and its in my price range with a warranty or I can get a Klipsch Sub12 with no warranty and possibly used, for about the same price plus shipping on Ebay. But I want to stay at $400 or less, or wait (and not have a sub which is killing me)a year or two and hope I have more cash. And then to buy a better sub. What would you do?
