  1. I wish I had the space to use a forte for a center, however the forte would not be the correct match for the La Scala II's either, Right? Is there a correct match for the La Scala II's about the same size as the Academy?
  2. I have the opprotunity (permission) to purchase a new set of La Scala II's in black (mismatched woodgrain from Vanns 1000.00 off, free shipping wanted Cherry but they only have one left[]) I currently have Forte II's for mains and an Academy center (new crossover on the way from Chris for the Academy) should I go for the La Scala's? Would it be a huge difference than the Forte's? and what the hell am I going to do about a center? (no space or money for another La Scala center) will the Academy keep up with the La Scala's? I listen half music half movies. Running a Denon 3802 for HT and a Denon PMA 700v for 2 channel, RSW-12 Sub, RS3-II sides and KG4's back. Any opinions? What to do..............
  3. I just had to tell someone, my wife don't understand [:^)] Five years ago I finished our basement and set it up for HT. I retired my old equipment and purchased a Denon 3802 to handle HT and music. The 3802 is still fine for HT but I never did like the setup for music. My forte II's did not sound that great. I was listening to music last week and it just sucked. I purchased a Niles switch box and tonight I got my old amp (Denon PMA700V) out of storage along with my 1/3 band graphic and set it up. After I hooked every thing up I loaded Jackson Browns "Running on Empty" (first CD I saw) and ran it through my old Denon with just my Forte's. WOW!!! I am in love with my Forte's again. I can't believe the difference, now I remember how good that setup sounded. I got the Niles idea off of this forum. I don't really post just read and try to learn. Thanks for listening! Setup: Forte II Main, Academy Center, RSW-12 Sub, RS3II sides, and KG-4 Backs.
  4. (I know) Means the RC3 is not the right match for the Forte's. That issue has been talked about on this forum for quite some time.
  5. Hi Everyone, I have been a huge Klipsch fan for several years. Purchased my first set (kg4's) in 1986 (I still have them) and never looked back. I have always looked around the forum but never had anything worth posting, but now I have a question or maybe I just need some opinions. My current system is: Denon 3802 (Fine for movies sucks for music) Forte II's RC3-II Center (I know) RS3-II Sides KG4's Back RSW-12 Sub I have an Academy coming I just bought on E-Bay for a little over 400.00 to replace my RC3-II. I know the Academy is the best match for the Forte, but would I have been better off just spending more on an RC-7? Thanks.
