  1. [:|] Unsure what they go for, would like $600/pr. Checked on shipping to Jax, Fl, weren't sure where you live. Prices are as follows, all are ground rates: UPS--$164_____Fed Ex--$119_____DHL--$105 Due to mental illness, and no money, that's much out of my pocketbook. So, I guess I'll just hold on to them, and maybe someday "re-purchase a C_7" for some good HT. [:|] Major skeptic here, but with Your new profile just y'day, I'm big time leary of Your honesty. Have a Great Day Fred[] P.S. Besides, with shipping, the cost is a bit high so I'm told, but, Go buy a new pair of similar comparison. I'm not looking.

Thanks to those who took the time to answer my uncertainties.........Carver always seemed to take a "bad" rap from critics, but I can't help I like it........ Other equip I do like irregardless, reckon' that's what it is "all" about. Have A Great Day Fred
  3. HT is really a great thing, but I'm now content with just the TV speakers. Originally, it was suppose to be KLF30 front, KLF20 rear, C7 ctr. At the time I was having difficulties with My Adcom components, GSA-600, and GDD -1 I think. Kept getting feedback on rear channels, tho not always. To cut it short, I just gave up. My amp at the time was a ATI-1505. Ended up selling the Adcom's and ATI. Besides, with neighbor's about, I don't think they'd be too friendly with my 100+db listening levels. So now I just have an old pair of AR Powered Partners, that is fine with me. Thx for replying
  4. Seems nobody really desires a "used" pair of KLF 20's, so I reckon I will keep for a "rainy" day. My question is: I've decided to use all 4 KLF speakers, 30's and 20's. Would you go with 2 2channel using both pre outs on Acurus Pre, or 1 five channel? The two amps I am considering are the Rotel RB-1050's(2ch, 70w x2) or the RMB-1075(5ch, 120w x5) I assume this will give me a bit more volume, which seems to be what I am after anyhow. Thx, for any input, Fred.
  5. Hello Jay, Just did a "c weight and slow" music test. Played 2 of my fave Boston songs: 1.) Rock n' Roll Band, and 2.) Hitch a Ride. Rock n' Roll Band ranged from 96 to 106db. Hitch a Ride was pretty much steady @ 102db, for the remaining 1m35sec. My fave part of song. To be quite honest, I still need/want more volume, tho not sure how much. Oh, lets say maybe 20-30 db more. Would it be a "much" greater" db level if I were to purchase another 2ch amp to use with my KLF-20's using 2nd outputs from pre-amp? I sit dead center at 11 feet from speakers. Thank You Very Much for answers/opinions. Fred

No Subs here, as in USN 2nd guess it is interesting 3rd I love "spell check", It's Newick's, seems you've thought wrong 4th and laslty, I am far from "tough", i be a small lil weakln' Now it is I, who hopes someone has a sense of humor. All the above was meant to be a little humorous. Wish you all a great day. Fred
  7. No offenses taken here gentleman. All in good and or great humor.
  8. Thanks for the replies Jay, yes it is C weighted, no it is fast. Lol, heck, I'm just getting warmed up (ears) after a few songs. No, I listen at that level for quite a while. At least an hour, sometimes two or more. I;ve done A weight as well, been awhile. If I remember right, the readings were 80 or better. Fred
  9. My normal or should I say preferred listening level is 95db to 110db using a Radio Shack db meter. I sit at a distance of 10 feet. Good, Bad, or similar to others. No Subs used. If it matters any, speakers used are KLF-30's Fred tho mine are mahogany finish. Hmm, this pic posting is new to me, guess I'll have to read up on how to get pic to work.
  10. Nothing fancy, but I will also include pics of remaining system. Amplifier---Carver TFM-24 PreAmp---Accurus RL-11 CD---Rotel RCD-971 EQ---Audio Control 101 Series III Monster Cables---"M" Series. It's not "egotistical" of Me to want to show it is it? My other amp was an ATI-1505, but I preferred the Carver sound over the ATI. Really wish I still had my Old SAE A501 amp, but someone decided they liked it better, and stole from me. Purchase the Eq to sometimes tone down the Mids, maybe brighten up cd's that have that dull sound, or just a tad more bass. Mostly, I just have eq being bypassed. Thanks, Fred
  11. Embarrassed to say, but I no longer have the so called "good life", meaning I'm poor now. Will get digi cameral from sis and put up pics. Only they will be the KLF-30's, also in "mahogany" finish. 20's are in boxes. Will that be Ok? Fred
  12. Yes Sir, it is rather hilarious. You just keep on believing. I like your types. Have a Great Day Sir Fred
  13. Mahogany finish, mint cond, were purchased to be used as rear channel for HT, but nah. Would say like $600 be asking too much? I live in Southern Maine. In boxes, Am using my KLF-30's. Fred One last thing, When KLF-30's came out, they were like the best thing since apple pie, then the RF-7 came along, then "They" were the best since apple pie, now it's the RF-83's???, that are the best since apple pie. I find it very amusing. Have a Great Day
  14. I currently use a Carver TFM-24 Amp with Accurus RL-11 PreAmp, w/KLF-30 spkrs. A while back I had an ATI-1505, thought I'd get into the "Home Theater" scene with my KLF-20 for rear, and C-7 ctr, but nah, so I sold it (ATI) for pennies. Liked the Carver better. All amp/spkrs stuff is subjective. My 2 pennies is that I think amp matching is uhmmm, goofy?
