  1. Good evening/morning friends!  I could not leave you all out.  No vinyl at the moment, but listening with friends over in RTM to the Saturday night LIVE concert stream of the Boston Symphony Orchestra from the Symphony Hall over WCRB Boston.  This is the usual activity on Saturday evenings.

Here is the 'vibe' photo from the Music Hall with my Yukon Jack in the Waterford crystal tumbler :). Tubes and Horns tonight.

I will try to post more vinyl soon.  But back in the studio tomorrow for a quick keyboard track.  Have a good vinyl listening session everyone, see you in a bit.IMG-2688.jpg

I gotta admit, when I got my new receiver well over a year ago I never hooked my turntable up to it.  My previous receiver had a dedicated phono input and my new one doesn’t.

But, my turntable has a phono/line switch to connect to a receiver even if doesn’t have a phono input.

So, just a little bit ago I decided to connect everything up and spin a record.  I had left a Huey Lewis record in it when I removed it and am glad I finally hooked it up.  I think I’ll be listening for quite a while today.

Good for you :emotion-21:  Welcome back to vinyl !!

  4. Good morning / evening friends.  Ok, GREAT JAZZ spins by you all.  So, today's continued house cleaning and laundry list is accompanied by JAZZ here on the second floor gear.

Starting with two re-releases sometime ago on the Blue Note :emotion-29: label.  Time for some Hammond B3 with Larry Young whilst cleaning up the galley after breakfast...IMG-2678.jpg

Anyone collect 12" singles?  I actually prefer them because I usually don't listen to all the songs on an album!  (Plus they remind me of the good ole days when I was tearing up the wheels of steel as a mobile and club DJ!

I have only one, a rocker with Meatloaf !  It is a 45 RPM LP, one tune on each side.  Found it sealed a long time back in a thrift store.

Another good essay this morning GW.

Super shot of the rug reflections on the front of the B&O rig

Thanks so much John!  Wow, did not notice that until you pointed it out.  Looks like a textured bunch of front panels .   I believe I will be back later this evening posting from Music Hall...... a few of us will be on our usual RTM forum for 'Free Style Friday' night.   Later my friends.....

  8. Very good play Paul.  I also like the overhead spot type lighting too !  Ok, here we go.  BLUES TIME !  This album was a PRE-order back in 2012.  Double LP/gatefold.  I believe this was nearly the last recording before Walter had liver troubles and eventually a successful transplant for which he is able to still tour to this day!  :emotion-21:

So here we go............music to clean your house by :D and front cover art.IMG-2669.jpg

    A great cover

And yea I had hair that long or longer back in the day 🤘🤘

    Thanks Paul.

Thing is, I am lucky that I still have very thick hair even now at 70 (NO bald spot, just like my dad who is 95 now)!, but it is all 'salt and pepper' now and I keep it quite a bit shorter, and there is a long, full beard and stache, so I look like the old man of the mountain.  You'll all get a kick I'm sure :biggrin2:.

  11. ....ooops, and then I realized there are links to the 2005 reunion!, 20 years later !!  Enjoy :)  (that was a professional performance/production), recorded directly to Pro Tools.  Audio mixed in a studio in Florida, then sent back to CT. for the video production.  Be sure to hover over the 'Vice 2005 Reunion'

Ok.....more vinyl....  Another Diane Schuur - GRP recording.

Now that would be something to watch

When available please post them 🤘

You'll get the links.  Last REAL reunion we did was in 2005, and it was a celebration of 20 years!!  I will be meeting with our guitarist at the session, and I have NOT seen him since that 2005 show!

Paul (and others).  If you want to get an idea of the band back in the mid 80ies, you can check this out. (VHS capture by a fan).

Here we are doing up Tom Sawyer (Rush).   Rob out front and Chris on guitar.  Two rather famous musicians today!

  13. Ok, I wasn't going to post this but, you might as well get to know a little more about Gary.........Been a pro-keyboardist since the mid 70ies.  My 80ies career band decided they want to have a reunion of sorts.  Our former guitarist is Chris Impellitary and our front man is Rob Rock (real name!) who just won an award in LA for the top Metal singer for 2023 !

So, with the change in the music industry, we are not going to play live on stage, but doing a series of music videos for our internet presence.  So, it is my turn to hit t he studio tomorrow.

We are just going to cover some rock tunes.  Two by Rainbow, another by Ratt, and one by Rush.

I am taking this small rig to the studio for my tracks.  One modern Hammond Organ (equiv. of a B3) and a Korg synthesizer.

Let you all know how it turns out :)IMG-2656.jpg
