I've been a Spotify junkie for a couple years now, having ditched Pandora a while back. I hear good things about Rhapsody, but I have yet to check it out, and really have no desire to switch at this point.

Your getting waaay ahead of yerself Amy, there is probably more snow storms to come before the cherry blossom blooms...

Looks like he hasn't logged in here in years. I hope he is well.

I was standing outside on the sidewalk looking in the window. Hand held.

At SXSW in Austin last year... Love that town.

Does a high school radio station count?
Actually, there's a guy who works at Klipsch who was heavy into radio in his past life. I'm sure he'd be happy to talk shop!

What lens is it? I want to get a 300 mm this year.I'm still amazed by how detailed it is for a "bargain" lens at 300mm

We should all do our part to help others in need. I would never dispute that, and have certainly done my part. I just don't believe a discussion about personal philosophies of the governments role in compelling us to do so is appropriate here.

I guess it depends on who the "we" is referring to. We the government of the United States? Political. We as individuals? Corporations? Non profit charitable organizations? Not political.
It actually doesn't matter. All it takes is one person on this thread to start ranting about the implied politics of your post and the entire thing degrades into a nasty debate that very few people enjoy finding on an audio forum.
Wow... All that and on a Friday night.... "Top Notch"
Valentines Day, no less!!

But I bet you like frog legs, right?
Ew!

If we all liked (hated) the same thing, it'd be boring.
Absolutely.
I suppose if I search hard, I can find some tunes with a harmonica that are tolerable...specifically slower folk tunes. I do like Neil Young, and some Bob Dylan I won't automatically turn off.
But prominently featuring a harmonica? Ugh. Maybe it's blues in general that I can't stand.

Stevie Wonder?

I don't like seafood and there are still selected people who will always ask me "have you tried this? Come on this is different"
I'm right there with you. I don't eat anything that lives in water. It's a mental block, and I won't even try it. So don't ask.

You heard her Rick: NO HARMONICAS FOR THE QUEEN!
Haha!!
The Queen has spoken.
I think Blues Traveler killed the harmonica for me.

Amy really, anything....Anything with a harmonicaAnything

I'm a very tolerant music person, at least within my particular genres. Not much actually makes me change the radio station besides commercials and DJs.
Three exceptions I can think of off the top of my head (I can't get to that channel button fast enough):
Phillip Phillips
ZZ Top
Anything with a harmonica

A warning post prior to locking, by a moderator would be nice. A closing statement on a locked thread from a moderator would be nice as well. At least then we'd know why the thread was locked.
The locking of the first thread of the same subject was the warning
I think most locks are self explanatory, but perhaps not. I'll try better!

Man, I think we need a place where people can just say what they want without having to worry about being banned or censored.
Dare to dream, Dean. Dare to dream.

Thanks dtel!
Yes, the lens has image stabilization. I won't bother shooting without it - it's well worth the extra money to me.
This is my favorite pic I've taken with it. I'm still amazed by how detailed it is for a "bargain" lens at 300mm.
Not the best ever, but definitely enough for my purposes.

Spotify will try to lure you in with a Facebook login, but look for the smaller print to create an account instead. I deleted my Facebook and detangled Spotify from it.... it can be done! I like the flexibility in following/sharing with friends that I choose, without being forced to do so. You can also follow artists to be alerted when they have new releases.
Beware, though. It's highly addictive. One searched song leads to another, then another, and another....I have one playlist that's 24 hours long, and it wasn't hard to assemble
It will also import any songs found on your harddrive.
