I was looking for a set of LaScalas cab. to cut down But all i realy need is a good set of plans and i have a older Shop Smith and a good rule is there any one with a clear set of laScalas ill build my own bottoms ill stack them that should give me a little more bass

LaScalas are big 24'' sq.3 feet tall BUT have a big sound and play loud cornwalls allso play loud and not as big both are sweet

when i had more then 2 pair i would stack them on there side as many as 5 pair stacked on there side 5 each side

outher speakers i stacked tweeter to tweeter would that be the same with the LaScalas???

well iam building a pair of LaScalas speakerfritz was so kind and gave me a pair of blank box;s and in the middle of stuffing them and tough i would look at some ideas on the crossovers i have 1 pr of k 43 woffers \ 1 pr 55v w/h350 horns 1 pr stock tweeters and will play them loud

this amp was bench tested buy putting a 2 STEEL U SHAPED PIN FROM PLUS TO NEG AND THEN TURNED IT UP AND LET THE AMP HEAT UP AND THE FAN KICK IN TO HI AND OUT OVER NIGHT NOTHING BLOW OUT SO IT WAS GOOD TO GO

how loud is loud ???? The wall /AC/DC led zep all the southren rockers and now the kids are gone and i get the living room back i have two custom built dyanco 416 amps ,pat 5 bi fet se10 eq. AF6 that i just had back to the builder and former dyanco employee that built the unit's back in the 70's he is one of the BEST WHEN IT COMES TO DYANCO my dynaco 80's sound good but after I heard a pair of LaScalas......... need i say any more............... THEY ARE LOUD

In my search to build a super pr. of LaSalas I have been a little confused I think i want to use a pair of AA crossovers(from all I have read here) But have seen members take them out and put them back in... and I'v seen some members put in custom ones ..... some... change caps on the AA'S .....................i hope to do this once and have them for a LONG TIME I do have a CROWN VFX-2A filter /crossover but will need some advice where to start on the settings (i do have the book with it but have not looked at it in some time an not sure if this could be a option thanks REDD

I am rebuilding a pr. of REAL LaScalas. The first pair I got were clones and some of the GREAT people here have helped me with advice and even one super member here GAVE me a pair of cabinets ......... so now I am trying to build a REAL pair i like my music a little LOUD and like rock 70s 80s and i have seen 77 m's and 77v's and even people using altec hornes ????? what is better 33 vs 43 round magnets VS square magnet any help or deal on parts would be appreciated thank you

the mid is a 1824 ev with a SFW fiberglass horn ///???? ill call tus to order a pair of woofers i may go aftermarket for the Xover and tweeter just not sure its $600 plus for a for each up grade kit per speaker so at this point i know ill put the oem woofers in @$129 each and they don't come with the up grade ooooooooooooo and as per you advice on slicing the tops off the clones that is going to happed WOW DOUBLE BASS BINS

wow what nice people i have had HELP me here i got the clone skeakers home and the pair of cabs. you gaveme thank you again olll the outher guy you gave a pair of LaScalas cabs to when i droped them off he was knot there but his room mates put them in the basement i fired the clones up and they sound ok i am going to check out the componets and maybe use some of them in THE REAL CAB THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HELP

wow thanks for all the help and i'am going to look at them and pay for them i will look close at them i will pulll the trap door and check the bass driver and hope it is the right one and go from there i have been looking for a long time for me 13 mo. and sure don't want to spend 700 on junk this fourm has been a BIG help and its good people that make it good THANK YOU ALL i hope the bass bins are real if so i think they have a ###### stamped in the top right edge ? thanks again REDD
