Double post...sorry....
Talking about doubles...I will have my completes "baby" DIY sub...to show off. Dual TC1000 12" ,opposed config. 4cu ft net volume. And my box for the TC-2000 15"....also made out of baltic birch. Braced to the grills...finished in natural maple. []
People who visited my house said...INSANE.They are correct,I am insane. Ha audio insanity is good.
What a shame that you lost your hearing so long ago. When you play your multitudenous subs does someone "sign" for you?

Forget it.
First of all, why?
You don't have a chance.
TheEAR is, first of all, a millionaire. Secondly, if you have read him, he is committed to being the sub champ.
So, he has the desire and the money to fulfill his goal. If you have the same situation, then maybe you have a chance. If not, forget it.

Right on,NOBODY will outo me,nobody. With all my commercial subs and now the TC Sounds ,Sound Splinter and RE Audio I will get...NOBODY competes. [6] And my 306lbs sub...it is a start....my next one will be over 500lbs. You kids watch out,and after...bigger.
All this in 800cu ft of space ! I am aproaching car like SPL ....and concentration of audio gear. []
This long weekend I will be building two subs....TC Sounds moving the air.Next weekend...abox for a 18" Sound Splinter...and go from there. In ONE year I will end up with at least 10-12 DIY subs added to my 29 commercial. Beat that...HA. [8-|]
Acting like a spoiled brat...it is fun.
I'll bet all your neighbors really, really love you to death. ( or is that "love death to you?)

The 2008 Corvette is not a thing to joke about. Not at all.

It's a free country, he can do what he wants you are right, and we can say what we want, that's what makes it great.
God bless the US of A.

. Piston area is a HUGE factor in speakers.
Yes, a HUGE piston area is a must, if you get my drift.

If you are interested in this concept, may I suggest you investigate Renkus Heinz' elegant coentrant horn topology.
Good old Renkus Heinz. Boy do I miss him.

........You get into other issues when you load a single throat with multiple sources.
Michael, Michael, Michael, .......I'm not going to say a word.

Bose 901 has 4 1/2 inch driver times 9, but the actual driver is probably less than 4 inches = 12 sq inches X 9 = approx 108 sq inches... not equal to a 15 inch speaker You are comparing 1 sweet orange with 9 lemons!!
Larry
A spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down..... Oh wait I thought this was Mary Poppins
No, it's BOSE-apoppins.

Nine spoiled lemons, I might add.
...and with a lot of lemon seeds.

I'm a little late to the party here but I'll add in anyway. Forte II's are not worth it. They are way, way more than worth it at todays prices.
Good good man # 10.

I wish that JLL would have smiled a bit more, but all we got for most of the show was the JLL stare.
-
But I'm looking at this from my perspective of me being nineteen years old,
I can see that our lives won't overlap very much.
-
But I'm looking at this from my perspective of me being nineteen years old, having no consistent job, and not getting free handouts from mommy and daddy...in which case, I think I'm doing pretty well for my setup. I'll stick around for another ten years, though, and I should have either RF-7s or RF-83s and another TC-2000...I gotta work on getting the house and committed room first, though...
Also keep working toward reaching the legal drinking age.

Is it a DVD Audio or a DVD video? I guess I'm off to Deep Discount to see what's available. I have the CD and agree that he still has it. I was somewhat disappointed that the more I listen to it, the more each song seems to begin the same but then that is his signature style.
Recommended.
Oh God, you are correct. It is a DVD 5.1 VIDEO.
I'm sorry for the mistake.
I also got the Beatles Love DVD Audio at the same time and I got them confused.
You see, I also am old and senile.
-
I'm glad some one else got it.......77 year old Killer........Super sound........
JLL was born in 1935. About 72 years old. Let's not make him any older than he actually is.
.......of course, he is still old, just not 77.

Well I finally got a chance to play one of my father's day gifts last night. Jerry Lee Lewis' new DVD Video "Last Man Standing - Live".
Man, it is pretty good. Excellent camera work and sound. Everybody on the DVD looks older than I remember them, but who isn't these days?
JLL still rocks, just in a slightly fragile way. I recommend getting this DVD. You will thoroughly enjoy it.
Ronnie Wood plays on it and many others.

Then there is the loudness button for really old people. It boosts all frequencies to help offset the age related hearing loss that we all experience as we grow old. I always insist on equipment with that button.
-
I need your measuring equipment. Will contact you soon.
-
They are about 42 light years apart.
Just kidding, as if anyone thought I was serious.
I will measure and let you know.
