  1. Hey all, sorry I didn't know I was supposed to set a price...never

really bought or sold anything on a forum. You all know what I got them

for, so that is a slight disadvantage...but I would like to either

trade for a juicy preamp (or equivilant tube pre),VRD amp (and I can

throw in some cash to cover the differance), or $950. I haven't really

seen these sell on here or ebay much because they are so new...so from

what I know this seems like a fair price...if I find out otherwise I

will work with whoever the highest bidder is.

  3. hey guys, I got a set of Heresy's and decided I didn't need them. For

all of you who want to talk me out, thanks but you can read the thread

where I made the decision on...I feel confident in my decision. I will

be posting pictures soon, but until then you can search for "heresy III

price" or something like that. I am open to all forms of trade and

offers. Please feel free to pm or email me with any questions. Thanks!

  4. I don't know if I have done everything possible to ensure my decision

is correct. I really like the sound of them; however, my situation is

not so condusive for keeping nice newer speakers. I will be moving

    quite

a bit over the next few years and I know that even with the best care

they will get damaged...I would rather they go to someone who will make

them their main speakers and really take care of them. I have the

rf-7's and they really work for me...if I get more Klipsch speakers

they will probably be either Lascalla's or K-horns. Right now I think

that I will be looking to finish my rf-7 HT and maybe start getting

into the tube amp world. But I think that the Hereseys won't recieve as

much attention as someone else would give them. If I don't get any

interest on this thread in the next few days I will step up in

visibility...new thread, audiogon, craigslist, ebay (don't want to do

that)...I will give presidence to whoever can respond to me the

fastest, and have the best mix of compensation...and ease of delivery

options. I would rather not get an extra $50 and be able to have a

worry free transfer than the alternative. Feel free to pm or email me

(claydaugherty@yahoo.com) for more pictures/info about them

  5. There is one more pic that I cant post that has shows a slight scratch

on the side about the same as the ones you see...i can try to resize

later to fit them all but these deffinatlly let you see every detail of

the imperfection. in regular light and if cared for properly they may

be nearly unseen. I have talked to DoubleJ...and look to be accepting

offers after he makes a decision. fyi perfer to work via pm...

  6. I found the jumper...and they sound great. Putting them next to my

RF-7's it is a tough comparison. The heresy's sound more balanced and

great with most all types of music (more a listening room speaker),

whereas the RF-7's have a lot more power handling, bass, and image

better (with no center channel this is imporntant with movies (more a

HT speaker). The gf loves them both, and I am leaning towards keeping

them...either way I am glad i have got a chance to listen to them.

  7. No, I am not pulling anybodies leg. I bought these cause they were
nice and priced even nicer. The people I bought them from said they
were too big and wanted in ceiling speakers (didn't fit their new
space) I have got lots of things I would love to have, and need to
start deciding on what I really want and what I will like and then
replace in the future. And the decision making process often includes
purchasing the items then deciding what you want to keep...then finding
if there is a market for what you just bought and don't like. I
wouldn't sell the speakers for $625, but I doubt that I would hold out
for 95% of retail...I got a really good deal and I know that if someone
on here got a RC-7 for a song that I would not want to pay 95% of
    retail for that either.

Maybe I should have waited to even hint
about selling them before finding out if there was any interest on the
forums. I don't want to get my or anybody else's hopes up until I make
a decision...and right now it could go either way, I really only heard
them hooked up to a reciever playing "Ohh Donna" on the FM tuner, and
the speakers only wired to the HF inputs (Probably why the guy was so
willing to part with them, cause there wasn't any bass coming out) Of
course this could also mean that the bass speakers are blown (but I
seriously doubt it! these things are very very clean and they don't
look like the loud listening couple) For the people interested, I plan
on deciding as to my future with the speakers before the
pilgrimage...so that should help us both out.

  8. OK I can see that these are a hot item. Let me get back home and hook

them up first. I want to first make sure they work 100%, and that you

guys see pictures of them, AND that I actually want to sell them.

DoubleJ, I will pm you when I make a decision.

  9. The final real actual no joke price was $625 for the pair. I have

wanted a pair of Heresy's for the bedroom for some time...but am more

interested in finishing the home theater room or getting some vintage

or new tube gear. I am located in Urbana, OH (90% of the time) and

Indianapolis, IN. And I will be attending the pilgrimage. So if someone

convinced me to sell or trade they could either meet me there or come

    pick them up.

  10. Got em, they are in near mint condition...the grills are perfect and

there are some light indentations from probably moving. Haven't got a

chance to really listen to them long and hard, but I will. Pictures

will be up when I finally get home and my computer unpacked. I don't

know what I am going to do with them yet, but if anybody is interested

let me know and you will be the first to know if I decide to part with

    them.

  11. I would love to make a huge killing on these, but I like this forum and

would like to get a good deal sometime too...all that being said if I

do get them and decide not to keep them I would be willing to let these

go for a reasonable price. Lets not get the cart before the horse, I

haven't even seen them yet...I'll keep you updated after I see them @

    approx 7ish

  12. Thanks for the advice, peer pressure, etc...lol. I am going to see
them tonight, if I don't end up with them I will be leaving info about
them and my thoughts on them for whomever to pursue. I really
need to save up some money to pay off college loans, a ring, a new
car...but speakers are so stinking awesome. I currently have the
rf-7's, a set of old fisher studio somethings, peavey's (with
black widows ), thiel cs3's, JBL mr925's (for the band) a diy set i
made when the band just started and we had no money. I am running out
    of space!

FYI the band I was talking about, The Amanda
Shelly Band, you can check out on myspace. We are in the process of
recording a full band album, the stuff on there is from Amanda's solo
cd. www.myspace.com/amandashellymusic. Ohh and sorry we won't be
    releasing the album in vinyl...
