  1. I am selling my Fisher 500C - at a very high price of $475. Its all orignal, with all orignal tubes, all brass knobs, and nearly flawless walnut cabinet. I know the price is very high but just in case someone was looking for it and wanted it an any cost. This is the price I have it listed on craigslist for...price is obviously a little flexible for forum member ... but I know the price is high but could really use the money.
  2. yeah I e-mailed that person yesterday - he told me they were sold in 10 mins.
  3. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/ele/384141395.html no affi etc. etc.
  4. I'm curious too - where is this stuff located.
  5. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ele/378386903.html - Not Affiliated - if I didn't just buy the chorus, I would buy this in a heart beat - AWESOME SPEAKERS for the MONEY. From the Ad: For the true audiophile these speakers need no introduction. For all the rest of us you can learn more about why these are such excellent speakers at: http://stereos.about.com/od/loudspeaker1/fr/klipsch_kg4.htm. Note that the typical used selling price is $300-350 but you can own this pair for only $200! Also check out the Klipsh website for more details: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/kg-4.aspx These speakers are in excellent condition. They weigh 40 pounds (each!) and the dimensions are: 24.25" x 15.75" x 10.75". Impress your friends and neighbors (well, maybe not the neighbors) with these classic gems! Call 703-242-2633 and take them off our hands this weekend. Thanks!

  7. So far: 1st place - "rplace" - still waiting to hear back? - I will wait a little bit longer (I hate to keep others waiting). 2nd place - "shload" - has expressed interest and is 99.99% sure will purchase if rplace does not respond 3rd place - "xxufo1xx"
  8. This might be a shot in the dark, but I'd say easy $2,750 for your pair in that quality
  9. is "rplace" --> Rich - sorry I dont know. Shload - sent you and e-mail and pm. Dhar
  10. Under the assumption that rplace does not want them, and garymd does not want them, "shload" is next. I could not sell to lutesk only because it required shipping to Indianna. If anyone here was driving that way I would gladly sell to him. Next, is you shload - I am only waiting to hear back from rplace. Dhar
  11. lutesk, Got your e-mail and replied as well. Dhar
  12. LarryC, I will be more than happy to audition them for you - mind you - my set up is not as nice as your - i.e. tubes/vinyl/etc. Its more like-Computer-Sonic-T-Chorus. I will proabably get them over the weekend and will definately give you a call. Dhar
  13. Hi guys, I just bought the walnut Chorus that another member here at the forums posted. I am selling mine - the only reason why I am selling is because mine are black and I just bought oiled walnut. Hence, I am selling it for the price I paid for the $350 - which, most member here agree is a steal price. They were bought from the orignal owner no more than 3 months ago (i started a forum here then). I have to give priority to "rplace" - if I remember his user id right) - but if anyone else is interested, please post here, and I will give priority in order of posting. I hope the price is fair - it is exactly what I paid and I will not be making a penny on them. Because they are in great condition, I WILL NOT PART them out. Local Maryland/DC/VA only.
  14. Guys, I got them. Paid the guy the extra 25 to drive the hour that he will, he is about 40 miles from my work and 55 from my house. Only reason why I bought them - I much rather have a pair of Walnut Chorus than Black Chorus. Hence - my Chorus Black are up for sale - for the price I paid $350 - I apologize to all who may want them but "rplace" gets first dibbs.
  15. Never heard the Heresy, but one thing I can definitely vouch for is that the KG4 is one hell of a speaker. Like I said before, selling mine was the biggest mistake I made.
  16. I own the Corns and Chorus I, I will choose Corns in a heartbeat....but as you can see, many also perfer the Chorus and Forte over the Corns, If you are committing $600+, I would highly encourage you to hear all before you buy...you can take all the speaker measurements you want and get into the nittygritty specs - ultimately you should only choose whats sounds best to your ear. For the longest times I use to read these stereophile magazines, and absolute sounds, etc. etc. - always buying components that they rated well. I always bought equipment that sounded good to the "reviewer" and forced myself to believe I made a good purchase what I knew that I wasn't really enjoying the sound. I was spending more money than I had. Then, I auditioned my first Klipsch Heritage speaker at a local sale with absolutely no intentions of buying (I mean who, other than crazy Klipsch members here, whould think that a speaker that is nearly 30 years old would sound so good). Mind you, the day before I bought my first pair of Cornwalls I auditioned JM Labs Focal 1027be ($9000 a pair) - between the Focals and Corns - to me there was no competition - the Cornwalls sounded just perfect. Maybe its the loose bass, maybe its the hiss that others mention (which I can't hear in mine), or maybe its the "fake" but its a combination of these sounds that make me like my Cornwalls as much as I do. Hence, I think you should really audition before you buy.

  18. Thanks for your input guys - your input (as always) is much appreciated. Over the next few weeks, I will try to make a few budget purchases. Right now my Chorus set up is - Chorus+Sonic Impact T (the Silver one)+Ipod (I know thats a terrible setup). There is someone selling the Sansui AU-717 intergrated receiver for $150 (including a bunch of junk I dont need - cd player, sonyturntabe, pioneer speakers, etc.). However he is only willing to sell as a package. Is that a worthwhile purchase?
  19. rplace, Thanks for you suggestions. I will definately give Chorus time - I really want to look for a nice intergrated to match it with - would increasing the budget to 300 help? keep the suggestions coming guys.
  20. xxufo, I will keep my fellow forum members in mind. Many have asked me for the Chorus and all will be welcomed to purchase them at the price I paid should I decide to sell them. Its just that I have it hooked up to a stupid sonic T-amp and comparing that to the Cornwalls paired with a Fisher 500C. Thats why I am in the market for a good intergrated to pair the Chorus with, see what they truely have to offer. Thanks D
  21. Disregarding size and price - or in other words - based strictly on sound - which one would you choose and why? Thanks.
  22. As you know I picked up a pair of Klipsch Chorus I last week. Listening impressiosn - very nice speakers but I am now blown away as was the case with my Cornwalls and Khorns. However, right now i have hooked them up with a mere Sonic Impact Super-T amp . (what the amp really lacks is bass - which makes it even worse with Corus which roll off relatively high). I wanted to know if you guys could recommend a good intergrated amp for my chorus - I am looking for something cheap (sub $200 - mostly old vintage equipment). Please let me know. Thanks.
  23. Yeah I was thinking the samething as rplace, near by and everything - just no more space. rplace - where are you in maryland. I am in maryland too - near DC however.
