Thank you beesley I appreciate your advice. I will definantly switch to the reciever subwoofer out into my subwoofer pre-outs.

Should I keep the subwoofer hooked up from the front L/R speaker outputs into the sub, then into speakers, or should I use the reciever Subwoofer Out?

Hey guys, I am pretty new to HT. I just purchased my RF-82's with RC-62, I haven't purchased the reciever I wanted yet so i have them hooked up to Yamaha HTR-5940 to the Synergy SUB12 and then to the RF-82's.. I was listening to some music and specific songs required me to turn up the bass a little bit... when all of the sudden I played a song that put out a lot of BASS and I'm not sure if it was the subwoofer or the woofers on the 82's but they were hitting flat. I just wanted to know if I had damaged my new speakers and what I can do to avoid any damage in the future. THANKS GUYS.

My sub12 hums when it is idle(reciever OFF), but when I turn ON my yamaha reciever... there is no hum Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated

I hear hissing from my speakers too, after I connected my F-3's the hissing was even worse.. probably because they are higher sensativity, I'm not buying cheap recievers ever again.
