  1. Please see pictures in the garage forum. thanks, earl
  2. I have a pair for sale (listed in the garage section) and live just north of Eau Claire. They are hooked up to great electronics in a nice room. Let me know if you would like to listen to them. Earl
  3. Please see my post in the garage section. Thanks, Earl
  4. I searched the archives and have read all I could, but can't seem to find any definitive width for false walls. Do they need to extend beyond the cabinets, and if so, how far beyond the cabinets do they need to go to be effective? Also, does anyone have an electronic copy of the Dope from Hope that describes these that they could send me? Thanks in advance, Earl
  5. Well, I did it. Over the weekend I bought a very nice pair of Klipschorns from a fellow in Chicago who was the original owner. 750 miles round trip in one day, man was I tired. They are consecutive serial numbers with Type AA networks. On the labels it says "Klipschorn, Type KB-WO, Serial number 135927/8. They have a round magnet K-55 tweeter. Can anyone tell me how old these are and what the Type KB-WO means? Also, if someone can explain to me how to post a picture, I would love to do that. I get the URL and name. I assume that dimensions is pixel size, but what do I do for border, vertical space, and horizontal space? Thanks for helping me out. If anyone is looking for a real nice pair of LaScalas with the DeanG built networks, let me know. I am going to sell them but will refinish the outer cabinets before I put them on Audiogon, craigslist, etc. Thanks again, Earl
  6. Obviously I haven't mastered the technique for inserting a photo. Just in case it doesn't work again, here is a link to the photo: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/stinkyjulian/detail?.dir=316f&.dnm=e2c8re2.jpg Thanks again, sorry for my computer ineptitude. Earl
  7. Well, I bought those La Scalas, already ordered a pair of trachorns. They were advertised as having ALK crossovers, but they don't. The question is, what are they? Can anyone tell me from the picture below the origin and nature of these networks? Thanks for your help. Earl
  8. I am looking at a pair of La Scalas made in 1985. The drivers are K-55M and a K-77 with a square magnet. The guy says these are the alnico magnet drivers. Is this true? Thanks for your help Earl
  9. Looking to buy a pair of Klipschorns. If you have any available or know of any, please let me know. I am willing to drive a ways to get them. Thanks, Earl
  10. Hello- I am new to the forum. I am very interested in Klipschorns, but havent heard a pair since high school in 1978. I was hoping someone near Minneapolis (or Western Wisconsin where I live) would be willing to help me out and let me hear their speakers. Or even better yet, if someone is looking to sell, especially Klipschorns, please let me know. I just sold off a system and am actively looking to replace it. Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. (I tried to find a dealer to audition, but no one near me carries the Heritage series--I even called Klipsch and they couldn't tell me where I could find some) Thanks in advance.
