  1. I used to have a MSB Link III w/ the upsampling upgrade and seperate power supply. TBH I never heard the value from the upsampling card. Just seemed to add a slight haze to everything. The DAC itself had an excellent sound to it though with upsampling disabled. I used a Sony SCD-XE670 as a transport- which for the money is a great SACD player, but were only sold in canada.
  2. So I would like to pose my first question to the board- I currently am running my RF-7 towers off of a HK 3470 Receiver and while the sound is decent at low volumes- I bought these speakers to rock. I'm currently looking at a few upgrades- namely the NAD C372 Intergrated amp, the Outlaw RR2150, or an Adcom GFA-555 II or similar seperate amp w/ matching quality preamp. I have around $1000 to spend- what will give me the best bang for my buck, if anything? If it's just better cables and a decent line conditioner, I'm all for it.
  3. First came here when I purchased my first set of Klipsch, the RP-5 powered floorstander. Loved them for 3 years then had to sell them during a move. Couldn't stay away from the wonderful Klipsch sound, and now I'm back after picking up a pair of RF-7 towers (a SUBSTANTIAL upgrade). Look forward to reading all your thoughts on Klipsch product and maybe even sharing some of my own stories and experiences!
  4. My friend has a carver cube and a pair of Forte 2's.... AC/DC never sounded as good to me as they do on his stereo.. ------------------ Rock & Roll!! WOOOOO!
  5. well, they're about 3 feet tall, maybe 1 1/4 foot wide. They have a black grille which covers 95% of the cabinet, and there is a gold Klipsch logo on the top of the grille. They're my friends speakers, he's had them for at least 12 years and they still rock to this day. He just bought them so long ago, he forgot what model they are!
  6. these speakers have a 12" woofer w/ a passive radiator, 1 horn midrange, and 1 horn tweeter. Any ideas?
