  1. Wondering if others can tell me the best way to remove the woofer from a Cornwall II without any damage to the surrounding wood(yes, I have removed the screws). Need to get inside and install my Bob Crites crossovers. Thanks for your help! Jim
  2. I was told by one person in here that the C II could be a little harsh with the horns as it's more of a "rock and roll" tube amp. For pre amps I have an HK Citation I and an NAD 1230.
  3. I have a pair of Cornwall II's(1985). I have an HK Citation II and a Dynaco st-70(both stock). Would love to hear some opinions on which amp would be preferred to drive the Cornwalls. Thanks, Jim
  4. I have read how the older "vertical" Cornwall may have better imaging that the more common "horizontal" Cornwall. Has anyone ever experimented with placing a pair of horizontal Cornwalls on their sides, tweeter and squawker on the inside and woofers against the side wall of a room. Just curious......... , jim
  5. Thank you! You've been extremely helpful with this. I'll let you know how my experiments work out. Jim
  6. Tom, There is a level control on the crossover for the "high" and "low" outputs. This should be fine for balancing the amplifiers. Jim
  7. i also have a Dynaco St-70, would you recommend that over the Citation for the mid and high in a bi amp situation? Thanks
  8. I understand what bi amping is using an electronic crossover. The crossover I have is 24 db/octave. I have cornwall II's from 1985. What I am curious about is if any others have done this and if they had found many advantages in doing so. I am not sure which model crossover was used in the Cornwalls I have. What I would like to do is have the HK Citation tube sound on the mid and high and the SS sound for the low end, that's all. Just asking for opinions from others who may have done something similar or to be told not to mess with it at all. Thanks, Jim
  9. I have a 24db/octave electronic crossover and want to bi amp my Cornwalls with an HK Citation II for the squawker and tweeter and an Audio Research D-120 for the woofers. Any tips on bi amping? What have others done in this situation? Thanks, Jim
