Thanks-I just built some Cornscala type speakers and I am playing with the crossovers I am using a type E with a 8 ohm 15 " woofer and a K-55 and a APT tweeter.Sounds good but the bass is a little weak and the mid and highs nice but could be better.

Would adding inductors on the tweeter and squawker make a improvement in the type E crossover and if so what size inductors should be used?

Thanks Dean I may just do .Do you need to use the same gauge wire as the inductor is from the inductor to the crossover?

So if you were to put in a titanium diaphram in the K-76 and upgrade the inductors and capacitors in the Heresy II 's there may not be as much of a sound change.

I have new Solen inductors for my crossovers in my Heresy II's and was wondering because they are not going to fit on the crossover terminal cup , I had to mount them on the bottom of the speaker cabinet and need to run about 4 inches or wire from the inductors to the crossovers what type of wire can I use to go from the new inductors to the crossover board? Thanks

What is the main sound difference in the sound of the Heresy II's and III?

Thanks I did a pair in my other Heresy I's and was so pleased with the sound I did the other ones however I am selling these Heresy's off by parts as I have my eye on some La scalas and have to make room or move to a bigger place so I am selling a pair of Heresy's and KG4's.

I am on vacation this week so I have rebuilt my other Heresy I's crossovers almost like the others only this time I used teak wood and 24k parts.

I am going to replace the inductors in my Heresy II's with some new Solens( .15 litz #16's and 2.4 #14) I am going to mount the on a board then decide where in the cabinet to put them.My question is what type of wire should be used to connect the inductors to the crossover board as it will be about 6 inches from the board if I attach the new inductors to the side of the inside of the speaker cabinet?

Was thinking of the update package Klipsch offers to upgrade Heresy II's to the III was wondering if anyone has done it and if there is that much sound difference between the II's & III's ?

Are all the drivers and crossovers the same size or do you need to make modifications to the Heresy II cabinets?

Anyone have the values for the 2 inductors on the crossovers on the KG-4's ? Edit - Sorry found them in a post.

I had some extra parts around so I put them to work.I had two extra 2.5 #14 solen air core inductor and a bunch of 1.8 Kimber Kaps so I replaced the stock 2uf's with the 1.8 Kimber Kaps and added a Dayton .22 uf film and foil by-pass cap to come closer to the 2uf,not sure If needed to put the .22 in but I had a few of those as well so why not, The high end sound is much nicer now and as far as the low end I am not sure but I know the Heresy II uses coil inductors so it must be a better way to go but unless you want to spend the money I think the stocks are ok . The Solen aircores are a big plus after listening and comparing the two ,one with new caps and old woofercoil to the one with new caps and new Solen aircores made the old bass sound muddy.

Are you sure it is 2.2 and not 2.5? I am seeing other posted saying it is 2.5?

I have a pair of Solen 2.5 air core #14 AWG coil's and was going replace the stock woofer coil in a set of my Heresy I's do I need to modify anything so these will work.?These are extras I have and wanted to put them to work rather than sitting around. Thanks
