Hey everyone, I was wondering what the difference would be between a 5 heresy setup or a 3 heresy/2cornwall setup versus a rf 82 5.1 system. I will be using a yamaha htr 6060 7.1 receiver and a hsu vtf ii mk iii 12" subwoofer with them and I want to know what I will notice with sound differences. The room will be about 12 x 15 and I would guess 75% movies/25% music. Thanks.

Thanks alot for your input. My budget for the Rf83's will be between 1200-1500 for receiver/amp, etc. What would you go with? Also, what pair of rear speakers will get the job done cheap from Klipsch to go with the Rc-64 and the 83's? I don't want to spend 800 on a pair of rears that I don't notice a lot right away if I can invest it elsewhere in better fronts and center. I just thought of another possibility. Could I use my Yamaha 7.1 Receiver (HTR6060) 115 x 7 with 3 HDMI 1.3 as my receiver and then spend the 1500 on a solid amplifier? Or would you do something else? I was looking at a Cambridge amplifier. I could buy one of those brand new for the price range they are in. Let me know what you guys all think.

what would be a good power source to give enough power to the rf83's and rc64....i would run the rears off the receiver for sure but do i need an amplifier to make these speakers sound good or is a receiver enough power? either way, does anyone have any model numbers or brand names to look at? thanks

Hey everyone, I am getting closer to the time where I will be able to go all out on a home theatre setup for my new place. I would like to go with all Klipsch if possible. I am debating on going with a projector or a 52" Aquos 1080p LCD for the viewing area. As far as the sound goes...I currently have a set of Quintet III's, an HSU VTF2 MKIII 12" Subwoofer, and a Yamaha HTR6060 7.1 115 x 7 receiver. The approximate room size is 12 x 18 x 10. I will be using it for 75% Home Theatre and 25% Music. I used to have an all Heresy system that I liked and am considering going all Heritage, but the install would be a lot more difficult to integrate into an apartment. With that said, I am looking at going with RF83's for L/R Fronts and an RC64 for center and rear fill of some sort. If I go with these speakers I plan on only running all 5 channels with a receiver and no seperate amplifiers due to increased costs. If I were to go with RF82's w/ an RC-62 and rear fill with separte amplifiers, which would sound better? Also, do I need to switch subwoofers with this new setup because this subwoofer sounds pretty good and shakes the house no problem. If I go with the first setup, which receiver model and brand should I go with? If I go with the second setup, which receiver, amps, processor, etc. package should I go with? Any advice pertaining to the HDTV television choice or the sound system is greatly appreciated. Chris

I was just thinking about something last night and if I cannot find another black heresy to make my ht all heresy then I could buy a pair of surround speakers to fill in. Which surrounds would you go with with 3 heresy's up front and would this have an effect on my subwoofer choice? If so, what subs should I be looking at? well i have narrowed my subwoofer choice to a used rsw10, new rw12d, or an hsu vtf 2 mk iii from hsu to go with my 5 heresy's...room is 12 x 16.....which is the best for shaking the room during movies and tight and musical for music such as jack johnson, oar, dave, and occasional rap?
