Hi all, I am in the market for some Klipsch RF62 floor standers. Any idea where I can get some good prices (online obviously) on these speakers? Oh, and what is a reasonable price for them? Thanks in advance.

Hi all, This might not be the best place to ask this (as some, if not all, of the opinions will be bias)!!! But I will give it a shot anyway. I am building a new home-theatre system in my house. Nothing fancy, begginer to intermediate level. I watch movies, tv, and about 10-20% music. The options that I have on the table right now after a lot of research and hair pulling negotiations with stores are as follows (all Canadian Dollars): - Klipsch F2 and RC52 = $630 - Klipsch RF62 and RC52 = $900 - PolkAudio RTI10 and CSI5 = $800 Now I don't even know if asking you is fair to judge each of these combinations as most will be leaning towards the first 2 options, but please try to be even. I would like to know the following: a) how much more is the RF62 better than the F2? The towers are double the price almost. Are they worth double the money? If we throw the polkaudio into the mix, I am assuming that technically, they will out-do the F2's, but by how much? Am I even comparing items in the same class? c) how do the polkaudio compare to the RF62? This would have been easy for me to judge if I could listen to them in the same place, but unfortunately no store carries even a combination of the three! Smart selling strategy. They never let you listen to the difference, so you only base your judgement on price and listenning to only 1 pair of speakers!!! Whatever I end up picking will be run by an ONKYO TSXR605. Anyhow, your help in this matter is GREATLY appreciated. Regards MO

I know the rsw is a better product, but the question is: is the ksw product that bad that it is not even worth $250? I fully understand that the rsw is better, but compared to the price, is what I am asking. RSW will probably be around 500 on sale, vs the ksw which is at around 250 now. Are you saying that they will sound horrible, and I would have wished that I didn't buy them? Really, are they not worth 250? Cheers and thanks for your help. MO

Hi all, I have read all the posts, and understand that the rsw is a better sub than the ksw, but here it goes: I can get a ksw10 for $250 Canadian and the ksw12 for $300 Canadian Is either one of those worth the money, and if so, which one is better? Or should I just disregard this price and wait for the next rsw sale? It will be paired with F2, RC52, Onkyo 605 receiver, and just filler rear speakers. Thanks in advance. MO

thank you so much for the input... Yes, I am very happy to have found this place. I am a biggenner to an intermediate listner with a reasonable taste in music. I like to listen to all types of music, from jazz, soft, pop, r&b, hip-hop, classical, etc. My system hasn't been started to be built. I plan on building it around ONKYO TXSR605. I am hoping to get the cr52 center speaker with the towers. The towers are a toss up between the F2, the RF62, or the polkaudio RTI10. The system will be used for movies and TV mostly, but music about 20%. I haven't started looking at subs or rears, but that will be done in the near future, after I have purchased the towers, center, and the amp. Any input is greatly appreciated. Regards MO

Hi all, This is my first post here... Didn't even know this existed!!! Anyhow, here is my dilemma and I really hope that you can shed some light here. I am building my system from scratch, and I almost went and bought the polkaudio RTI10 speakers for $800 (Canadian) until I found the Klipsch F2 for only $400 (Canadian). I went to listen to it, but they only had the F1 which is no where near the F2 (1 vs 2 woofers), but I still liked the F1 so I can only imagine that the F2 will be a lot better. My problem is as follows: the F2 only comes in cherry colour, and for the life of me, I can't find any center speaker (RC52) to match them because they only come in black!!! My options are option1: -------- buy the F2 and keep searching for something that matches, and most likely not be able to find anything, so then I am stuck. option2: -------- buy them and paint them black!!! Definitely my last option and probably not want to do it any way option3: -------- fork out double the price and buy something else including the RF52 and then be able to select the black colour My questions to you are: 1) are the F2 even worth all this hassle? 2) how do they compare to the RF52? 3) how do they compare to the polkaudio RTI10? 4) has anybody painted speakers before? and are there any side-effects? 5) My system will probably be built around an ONKYO-TXSR605, will that sound good with these speakers? 6) what do you think I should do? The F2 sale will end tomorrow, so your help in this as soon as possible is greatly appreciated. I apologize for the long post. Cheers MO
