  1. I finally got the pictures in. The speakers are still in my living room. Got them late this afternoon. The S/Ns are 12421 and 12422. P/Ns are 09000711210 on both speaker. Thanks, Jav
  2. Please tell me this was a good buy. I drove 36 mins and paid $600 for the pair. The black lacquer paint still smooth. Some minor scratch but nothing major. The numbers are in sequence, 12421 and 12422. I tested both speakers with a small receiver and both worked nicely. Just a simple test to make sure the speakers work. Anyway to tell when this speaker was assembled? My intention is to replace my main RF-3ii with the La Scala set. Will this work? See attached pics. I was hoping for an RF-83s to replace my RF-3II but nothing has come up yet. There is one RF-83 listed in craigslist now but the guy hasn't responded to my offer so I got the La Scala instead.
  3. I'm about to purchase a used RW10 for $200. Can someone please tell me if this sub is worth the price. I haven't seen the sub yet but according to the seller, it's RW10. Thanks! jav
  4. Anyway to delete a post? I should have done a bit more investigation before posting my KSW query. Maybe an RW-10d is a good start for a 1500sqft room?
  5. Hello all. I'm looking to replace my Velodyne VA-10/12 with a Klipsch sub. I found in CL a KSW-12 and asking price is $275. Here's the actual add: 12" KLIPSCH REFERENCE SERIES 1000WATTS POWERED SUBWOOFER BLACK DOWNWARD FIRING. Can someone please tell me if this is a good replacement and if the asking price is fair? Any suggestion or idea is appreciated. Thanks! jav
  6. I think UltimateElectronics carry that model. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!
  7. Hello all. I had my VA 10/12 since late 90's and I've always enjoyed it's performance as far as lows and soft-lows are concerned. When watching a movie, the VA 10/12 does not necessarily put out a nice big "thud" or jolts on big thunderous explosions. It is awesome on progressive thunderous-vibrating explosions but on the softer side. Now, with all Klipsch speakers in my HT, I'd like to replace my VA 10/12 with a Klipsch subwoofer that can go "BOOM!" or "THUDD!" Not being able to experience the many different Klipsch subwoofers out there, I'd like to get some opinion from everyone before placing my VA 10/12 in CL. Can you please tell me what model you're using and your experience with it? Thanks! jav
  8. Hi there. My speakers are the RF-3 II series like the one you're buying(or already bought). My HT room is pretty small, about 14' x 12', and I have 7.1(all RF-3 II except for the RS-42 rear surround). And for my bass, I'm also using a Velodyne 10/12. As for the sound, well, I have to be biased on this one...they're freakin awesome! I cranked the volume down once to 0(say -25 at the volume level is a conversation level) and vibrations from the wall is becoming apparent but there were no signs of problems with the speakers...they handle the load just fine. I would normally watch my movies at -15-10 at the volume level and with Velodyne crancked at 1/4th turn, the thudds in Terminator just come to life. Depending on room size, the RF-3 II systems will serve you just fine. Good luck, jav
  9. Hello everyone. I'm nearly reluctant to show my setup since my speakers are a bit outdated but I hope you guys don't mind. I've been working on my basement for almost exactly 12 months and I've finally gotten my things hooked up. The pictures didn't come out as well as I'd like them but it's the best I could do Klipsch RF-3 II - front Klipsch RC-3 II - center Klipsch RS-3 II - surround Klipsch RS-42 - back surround Velodyne 10/12 Mitsubishi Diamond Series - Model 57833 Pioneer VSX-91TXH 7.1 Pioneer BDP-94HD APC 900 UPS Monster Power HTS-5100 Lutron MIR-600THW - Lighting Remote Control Blue Jeans HDMI Cables Monster XP Speaker Cables - CL3 Rated Auralex Sound Control and Sonex Sound Absorption Panels Room Dimension: 14' X 12', 20AMP dedicated circuit Here are some pics: During the planning stage, a 7-speaker system for the 14'x12' room I thought was an over-kill but I'm glad I did...because I can say now, I have a 7.1 system...and Apocalypto sounds awesome! I'm very satisfied with my HT, granted it took me a year to complete, but it was all worth it. BTW, for the RF II speakers, I bought them for $500 but it also came with an HK receiver which I eventualy sold for $65. The RS-42 was bought online. Favorite blu movie: Apocalyto Flight of the Phoenix Terminator - Judgement Day Bloodiamond Thanks for letting me share my little story! jav
  10. Hello all. I've recently purchased an RF-3 speaker systems and one of the foot(base), the one that is screwed under the speaker, is crack in half. Can someone please tell me where I can buy a replacement? Thanks! Jav
