  1. Due to room limitations and WAF, I just installed a set of the 5650's as rear side surrounds, 12 ft high pointed directly at the listening position. These are matched to a RF52 system, and I am pleased with their performance. I can tell that the speakers are somewhere above ear level, but I cannot tell that they are 12 ft above me. I dont know how well they will match the KLF-30's.
  2. I have the same system on order which should be here sometime this week, all driven by a Denon 1907. Because of an odd shaped room, I opted for 5650C's instead of the RS42 surrounds. After researching (many hrs worth) as much as I can for the last 2 months, I didnt find any good reason to bi-wire the floorstanders. Do you find the sound of the RF52 system to fill your room fairly well?
  3. I am also in the same dilemma, except my ceiling speakers will be pointed down at 45 degrees. My local Klipsch dealer recommends this rather than the RS-42's wall mounted at 8 feet. What is the advantage of the ceiling speakers mounted at 45 degrees rather than the RS-42's where they should be? I am ordering a RF-52 HT system next week, and dont want holes in my vaulted ceiling if they arent going to sound as good as the 42's
  4. Soon to be new Klipsch owner here. I will be purchasing either the Cinema 8 or 10 series to match my 50" plasma screen with a Denon 1907 and hoping to set up in a 7.1 configuration eventually. Due to construction factors and spousal acceptance, all of my speakers must be mounted to, or in, my almost 10 ft ceiling with an almost 12 foot vault. I understand the importance of having speakers close to ear level, but in my situation, the basic 5.1 must be mounted up high due to wiring and room design constraints. I would like to do two rear speakers for 7.1 (eventually) and must run wires at this time for future install, but am unsure of how far to the rear of seating these speakers must be. I am limited by a partial wall that sits behind my couch, leaving a 3 ft walkway. In other words, one of my hanging rear speakers will have a wall behind it, the other speaker will not. Any type of speaker stands are forbidden by the master female figure of the house. My questions is... how well would the sound dispersment be if the rears surrounds are mounted directly above the rear listening postion, firing downward(slightly to the rear or front)? I am limited to 3 foot or less behind my seating position. I am willing to stick to a 5.1 configuration if necessary. Any advice is appreciated, because the wiring portion of this install is going to be very complicated. Thanks!
