  1. Just like some DVD players show their brand name when you turn them on, I guess his A/V receiver does the same. Yeah - the receiver says Denon on it after a few seconds of inactivity.

  3. Thanks for the room layout suggestions, but we've considered all of those. The side view reveals a bit more - two windows and a fireplace. Ideal layout would be to put the TV right in front of the fireplace. With our smaller TV and speakers we had it angled in the corner as suggested but that would look awkward with the size of everything now, plus it would cover the window. This is the only wife approved layout. The problem with shifting the listening position is that the ideal watching position for the TV is near the fireplace wall. Thanks, Doug
  4. This is my room layout (to scale, about 16x18). The problem is, while the horns have a wide degree of range, I can tell that they begin to cut off right around the RH corner of the couch (demonstrated by the orange lines). I would like more of a range (to the right of this room is the Kitchen) for parties, listening in the Kitchen etc. The FL RF-83 is toed in at about 3 degrees or so, the FR RF-83 is toed in about 1.5 degrees. Would it be bad to toe the FL speaker in even more and toe out the FR speaker slightly? What are the downsides to this? Thanks, Doug
  5. I actually found this post because I had a similar issue with my RW-12d. I checked the fuses, etc. It just seemed like there was no power getting to the subwoofer. I unplugged everything (power, input cable), turned off the receiver, disabled the subwoofer in the receiver setup, plugged everything back in and it somehow worked again. I was ready to call the dealer right before that happened. I'm sure you have already tried this but I just thought I would share. Doug
  6. It was about the only thing I could find to support the weight of the RC-64. The media console didn't have a spot for it. It worked out to be about the right depth for everything plus it can tilt up to 10 degrees, so it isn't necessary to use the 'kick stand' that comes with the speaker. I did use it as a bolt to secure the speaker to the stand (through a slot in the stand's base). It
  7. It is finally up and running. The center channel stand is acually meant for a CRT TV. Doug
  8. I used a Sanus wall mount meant for a CRT TV ($30 on Amazon.com). It is one of the better looking wall mounts out there that will hold the weight f the RC-64. Works great above my Sony SXRD, not sure how it would look over a projection screen since it sits out about 21" from the wall. http://www.sanus.com/us/en/products/ProductDetails/line/visionmount/pcat/crtTvMounts/modelCode/VMTV/layout/layout/ Doug
