  1. Where did it say that in your original post ? You wouldn't be the first from another forum coming here and stirring crap up, or have been banned from here, and come back under another name, and stir up stuff ......................... You think this thread is flaming you, stick around, you may get flamed someday .... Well, if that is the way things work around here, flaming, then no thanks, i won't be sticking around for too much longer. Mud
  2. Well, i need black and unfortunatley he is selling oak. What color are yours? What condition are they in? PM me and give me an idea of what you would want for them. thanks Mud
  3. Well, i was browsing through www.avsforums.com because i am in the process of buying a new Marantz receiver and i found a few threads where people were having discussions regarding Klipsch of today versus Klipsch of a few years ago. Also, on more that one occasion, i have had debates in local AV retail stores with salespeople who would say the same thing(not really pushing any other brands). I have had such a great experience with my KG's that if i had to buy new speakers i would not even have to think twice to buy Klipsch agiain.
  4. Well, you could have avoided to use the word "ignorant", however, i must admit that i made a poor choice in the way that i started this thread. That still does not make some of the answers justifiyable IMO. As a matter of fact, there was a stupid post right AFTER i explained myself in detail. I am actually appalled by some of the responses that i received from this thread. Such a lack of respect and manners for a fellow Klipsch fanatic. I have respected and treated my speakers with the utmost care over the last 12 years and i fear that this thread might taint the way i view Klipsch in the future. Never have i been flamed in any of the forums that i frequent....this is a first. I will try my best to not make a few bad apples ruin my experience on this site. Thanks to all those in this thread and others in other threads that helped answer my questions. Mud
  5. Its clear that some people on this site have too much time on their hands... Its sad that people come here looking for knowledge and in return they get childish responses. If you don't have anything constructive to say, simply don't reply to the post. Thanks to those who have actually answered my question. Mud
  6. The whole question is an attempt at a joke, right???? Listen guys, it was a simple question. I have owned Klipsch products for the last 12 years and would never think of buying any other brand. I was only curious as to why certain people ( on other avs forums and some av salespeople) say that their products are not what they used to be. There is no need to take offense....forums like these are meant for learning and helping, not offense and bickering. Mud
  7. I beg your pardon? I hope that was an attempt at a joke. Mud
  8. I have heard many times that Klipsch products of today are not as "good" as they used to be. Is there any truth to this? Mud
  9. OMG what are the chances of that? if i had the chance of buying a "NEW" KV-2 or KV-3, i would be jumping up and down like a little girl. I hate buying used stuff. Youthman, if you jump on this i will buy your KV-3. Mud
  10. Yeah... i saw that there are 2 KV-2's for sale on Ebay. Question is, how much of a gamble is it buying used 10 year old speakers on ebay? i have taken incredible care of my KG's over the last deacade...but with sellers on ebay, you never know. i "assume" that buying from a member of this site would be a "safer" bet. Thanks for all the great help and replies. Mud
  11. hi from klipsch's current lines of speakers, which center speaker would you recommend to be paired up with KG 2.5's up front, and KG 1.5's at the rear? Ideally, i would put a third KG 2.5, however i find that the shape and size of it will not work for my setup. right now i am thinking RC-10 thanks
  12. Hi, Regarding the KG line that was released from '94 to '97. Is it safe to say that the 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 will all have the same sound quality? The only difference would be the amount of power that they can handle? Thanks for any help on this matter.
  13. Thanks for the reply. I never thought of using a third KG 2.5 as a center.(it doesnt seem to be designed as a center) Would it be ok to lay it down on its side? thanks
  14. Hi, I am buying a Marantz x001 receiver in the near future. I have a pair of Klipsch KG 2.5 that i really enjoy. Would it be a good idea to buy some KG 1.5 for the rear? thanks
  15. Hi, I am new to the forums. I have owned a pair of KG 2.5 since 1996. I am still not tired of them...they are amazing.! I am in the process of putting together a 5.1 surround system. I would like to use some KG 1.5 for the rear. My question is what is the market value for these speakers now. I will keep an eye on ebay with hopes that a pair of black ones will pop up. Thanks for any help. Mud
