My favorite thing about the old stores was "demo-ing." You saw something you liked but weren't sure about it, they would say "take it home for a few days and see how you like it." Sometimes I miss the old days.

I just replaced my $1500 Pioneer Elite HT amp with a Sonic Impact ($59) and a TEC pre-amp ($73) and could not be happier. They don't look as cool, but I hope sound is what you are after. Maybe someone could provide him with a link.

Got this on everyone's recommendation for only $11.99 (new) at Waterloo records in Austin. It is more of a Sunday morning read the paper album, but we like it.
