  1. hi. i was just wondering if anyone could give me a little info...i scored a pair of la scalas a few days ago. the serial numbers are 29X205 and 29X216 and i was wondering what the date of manufacture was. the cabinets are in decent shape...a little veneer damage here and there but everthing sounds fantastic. they were on craigslist for $800 and i offered them $600...done deal...the sad thing is i don't know if i will be using my heresy's anymore (actually, i'm sure i will find a use for them). any info would be greatly appreciated....jon
  2. just looking for some input on "factory recertified" components. any and all opinions welcome! thanks...jon
  3. hi. i went to a rummage sale this morning and found the following...a pair of Kirksaeter Monitor 120's and a pair of ESS PS-1220's. I paid $90 for all four. Can anyone give me any information on these? I have found some information on the ESS's but I can't seem to find anything on the Kirksaeter's. Any info would be greatly appreciated! thanks...jon
  4. they are an air motion transformer model. i just picked em' up because i could. they are not replacing my heresy's or kg4's or jbl 4311's or tannoy's.

  6. so far so good...my only klipsch reference is a pair of kg4's and a little pair of sb2's. the heresy smokes 'em both!!!
  7. i just wanted to say thanks for all the response and information!!!
  8. yesterday i bought a pair of heresy's. they are type HOO with s/n #'s 8521637 and 8521637. i assume the "85" part of the serial number means "1985". the wire terminals on the back are the screw type and are located towards the bottom. other heresy's from around this period seem to have the recessed plastic terminals. anyhow, they have the cane grills and everything seems to be in excellent condition (save a slight amount of veneer missing from the top edge on one of them). any info would be greatly appreciated. p.s. the seller wanted $400 and i talked him down to $350.
