  1. Installed the VSX01 avr. I don't have a working DVD player and my first ever BLUray player should be here later this month to really test the sub. I'm using the external controls on the sub to dial in the bass but I think I can do a better job when the BD gets installed. The sound of the Klipsch's to me is amazing and bright, I have no regrets. I'm really looking forward to listening to HD audio. KSF 8.5 Synergy S3 KSF C5 Energy ES-10 Sub
  2. Thank you for the reply and advice, I appreciate that. Yes I'm using a sub Energy ES-10 that I can make adjustments from the sub or send to over to the receiver. I've had this system since 1998 and with my limited knowledge have all ways used the manual controls on the sub. I switched the rca plug to the crossover socket I guess that's what it is called when the AVR controls the sub...what a difference! My new AVR should be here any day. Thanks again
  3. Are these full range speakers? I will be getting a Pioneer VSX01 AVR this week and would like to if I need to set them to small or large. My next question will be about crossover and how do I do that. Thank you
  4. Thanks Bill, I think your right about keeping them matched.
  5. I have KSF 8.5 fronts and added a KSC-5 center, should I be looking for KSF S5's to use as surrounds? Or could I use the newer Synergy S1 S2 or S3's? Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful. Thank you

  7. Thank you for your reply and suggestion, I'm going to compare those specs to what I have now and I'm sure I'll have more questions. Thank you
  8. Thank you for the welcome and the reply. Your right I don't want to jump the gun yet so I'll wait untill the gear arrives and go from there. When I bought the Klipsch system 11 years ago I also bought a Mits.40" CRT digital TV and a Sony DVD player...life was simple. Now I have a HDTV, Dishnet and soon to have a new AVR and Blu-Ray player. My goal is to enjoy the new audio types from the Blu-Ray disks maybe my existing system will be able to do that. Room size is 12' from the front of the HDTV to the back of the chair, and 14' from the back of the chair to the back wall. Width is 16-17'. Thank you
  9. Later this summer I'm going to order a Pioneer VSX-1018TXH-K receiver and a Panasonic DMP-BD50 Blu-Ray player. My Klipsch system is from 1997. Klipsch synergy KSF 8.5 front Klipsch synergy KSC C1 center Klipsch synergy KSB 2.1 rear Energy subwoofer ES-10 With upgrading the AVR and adding a Blu-Ray player will this fly or is it time to buy? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
